But you don't want it to be so expensive they can't pay it. If you are not going to try & make a profit from it there is no point.

I think that each player when banned / muted should get an individual price & then on the forums have a page with the Reason for ban, who banned them Time, Date, Price. So they can;
1) Pay the 'fine'
2) Know who muted/banned them for an appeal
3) Name and shame

Also you would need a deadline

I don't agree that you can buy an unban, but maybe buy an unmute. Once you hack, you never come back. But if someone swears/spam/advertise they will learn their lesson.

Isn't the goal to eliminate all hackers from CCG? Enabling hackers to just buy back in defeats the point.

If it's only once, only a fraction of them will be dumb enough to hack again, most won't do it again.

But still, lets say 100 hackers are banned. At least 25 would return to continue to ruin the game. Hackers are banned for a reason, they ruin the game giving an unfair advantage. I don't think that hackers should be allowed back in.

But, think about it, you were banned for hacking, you know what happens when you hack, you know that before you get back on you should remove the hacks. Out of the 25 people I reckon about 5 will be dumb enough to hack again, then get banned again and then they can't come back. But, if the price were to be £15 the 25 people would have made the server £375 and say we lose 1 player per hacker that is on the server, considering that most people don't donate, we would probably lose about one donator which is £10-£150 pounds if they saw 5 hackers and left, less than half of the price of the 25 hackers that payed to get back, and we gain more players that payed to get back on the server and don't hack.

Okay i kinda agree with you there, but i think there is way too many hackers on CCG and we don't need more. I do understand your logic, it all has its pro's and con's.

By charging people to be pardoned cog could pay a team of coders to create more precautions against Hackers. Therefore longterm improvement for ccg.

Well, considering how many of them would be dumb enough to hack and be banned again, it could also increase our player count as well as decrease it.

More hackers allowed back in (after unban purchase) = Less legit players.
Its a tough one and i can see both sides to this, but personally as a CCG player i would want all hackers gone for good.

But you can't assume that all unbanned players would hack again. Most wouldn't.

You would be surprised at how many people do. Also even if a fraction hacked again, that's still more hackers on CCG.

I have in my past done some serious shenanigans. And god how much I wanted to enter back to the server without the hacks I had. I promise you, If that server had purchase unban, I would have sone it and never touched hacks ever again. That server is the reason I stopped hacking 3 years ago >_>

If anyone wanted to hack that badly they would just buy another account so I think The pardoning cost would have to be a minimum of no less than £/$1 less than the cost for a Minecraft account for profit.

My whole point was that if ccg charges people they can pay coders to develop a near impossible to hack server.
