Necroposting on suggestions...

Ok this is something that really annoys me as I often use the "new posts" link near the top to look at new suggestions and their replies. Seeing comment after comment of just "+1" and "I really like your suggestion" just gets really boring to read all the time :P So instead of saying "+1" or "I like it" how about you leave an actual like on the thread? :P

(Not really a suggestion but this didn't really fit in the games sub forum)

Ehh I'm all out of suggestions for now anyway :P plus their are some good suggestions made by people like @awesomebutter234 and @Build that deserve the likes. Also you can organize threads by most likes so if this becomes a habit for the community all the devs would have to do to see the most wanted changes is look at the threads with the most likes

I have a solution for you, if you hover your mouse over the title, it would show you part of the contents inside and the date the thread was made.

It is in the recent suggestions area but it is an old thread from Aug 7.

So hovering your mouse over the title could help solve this for you.

What I mean is that he's talking about leaving an 'actual' comment instead of +1 or I like your idea. I don't see anything about necro-posting. Or am I just stupid?

Does he? I personally don't see him mention anything about necroposting. He is saying that he always looks at the 'newest posts' section to see the new threads and new replies. He just doesn't like it that people comment stuff on suggestions like "+1" or "I like it" whilst they can just like the suggestion. He probably read the forum rules and thought putting short 'useless' comments means necroposting, as its in the same rule together with necroposting.

5- No Necro-posting, pointless posts that do not contribute to the topic in any way (Single word posts such as k, +1, ok, cool etc...), threads that the last post has been posted more than 2 weeks ago are not allowed to be revived (does not include forum games threads). Even mentions the "+1" in the rules for necro posting :P
