a galaxy far, far away....

First of all I just wanna let you know that this is indeed quite off-topic in comparison with Minecraft / Cubecraft xd

If you have nothing to do right now, you could read all this, it's a long post and I'm not even sure whether you wanna read all of this xd If you're not even interested in my life, you might want to spend your time on more important things ;)

Very long story short: my friends and I made 2 songs (so far). If you wanna listen to them and ignore the story, go all the way down below to the YouTube videos.

So, as you've probably already seen the title, this is me talking about music. Music is a very normal thing, but making music on the other hand, has become a pretty special thing to me. Let me explain this to y'all

I have (and maybe others from my country as well, Dutchies could recognize this as ''CKV'' or ''Kunst'' or whatever it's called at your school) this class at school which is basically several types of art in one: dance, literature, filmography, visual arts, theatre and music. Our acedemic year is devided in 3 semesters and every semester we had a project / bigger assignment we were focusing on.

1st semester assignment:
make a video about what art is to you.
2nd semester assignment: create a dance routine and preform it / make a video of it.
3rd semester assignment: make your own song.

It kinda all started with the last assignment. Our teacher introduced this program (I think it's called Magix Music Maker or something) to use for making a song. I basically didn't understand it at all, but fortunately I did have some experience with FL Studio. I had used it before, but never came far making an actual song. Me and my friend teamed up for this assignment and started Project Delta, which was basically the process of us making our song. Please don't judge how overrated we think we were xd it's just excitement.

We wanted to make a tropical house song, like Kygo (I'm a huge fan of him and his work, so that kinda sort of stimulated me). I told her about me using FL Studio and I was gonna make a tune and we would discuss and talk about it. I came up with this tune, I always randomly put some notes together and sometimes magic happens. She liked it, and we developed it to an instrumental tropical house song. We were so excited about it, but it did feel like lyrics were missing. Lyrics normally give a song an actual meaning or express opinion or anything else. Our minds were litterly blank on lyrics, but my friends friend who's also my friend (friend inception) offered to write lyrics. To be honest, I didn't expect that much, but I was totally wrong. Her lyrics were great and were really from her mind, it wasn't like a collection of Tumblr quotes.

So yeah, we had lyrics, but none of us three has a good voice. However, another friend of mine (maybe best friend idk, we do have deep conversations, our own memes / personal memes only we understand and pretty large streak on Snapchat) does have a great voice. I remember her randomly singing parts of songs, only those she remembered. I was and am still impressed by her voice, which is why I asked her if she'd want to sing the lyrics for our song. She wanted to, and so we recorded her voice. There was only one problem and it was kinda big. The BPM (beats per minute, so it defines the tempo of a song) of the voice recording was like 10 times higher than the BPM of the actual song. I tried to edit and cut through her voice recording so that it would match to the original song, it did turn out okay, but not good enough. So we published our song without vocals, only our art teacher had listened to the song with vocals. She was happy with our result and believe it or not, we got an A+ / 10 for our song. Probably not because of song itself, but more because of the quality of it in comparison with other songs made within our class.

All the recording and stuff was an amazing journey, with much knowledge achieved. I learned alot more about FL Studio and kept making more tunes. I found out that coming up with an idea is not something I'm good at, but I can be great at developing them. During class, my friend (the one with who I started Project Delta with) came up with a very small part of a tune, and it now is our second song called Dreaming. I actually wrote lyrics for this one (which is why it's called Dreaming), but we didn't have the time to record it (yet, you might never know :)).

We will hopefully continue making music, and if not at least I will. Not because I want fame or something, but because I finally found something I enjoy so very much, because others appreciated our music and because I finally got something that makes me proud of myself. It may sound selfish, but on the other hand very logical, but when I finished the second song I was sort of grooving to it xd.

I am not someone with alot of confidence, which is why I search for those things that do make me feel good about myself. Right now, I am proud of what I did. I am proud of what it led to. And I am proud of what I will continue to do. If you see this, please be proud of who you are and that what makes you happy.

THE END YAY FINALLY

Here you'll find the results of what started out as a simple tune. In the end, I probably don't even care about what others think, but feel free to let me know what you think. Whether you think it sucks, whether you think it's allright or whatever, I again probably don't care. Yup, that's me. Kinda ignorant.

Dreaming - Our second song, which is above our first song because I'm more proud of this one.

Never Coming Down - Our first song, which (I know) doesn't really sound professional (just like the second song)

:O Wow, that's amazing! I could never make music ;-; I'm not talented in vocals or sound at all :/ But I especially like "Dreaming", and the backstory was cool as well! I would be really happy to see more songs ;) And btw, off topic kind of, the "Youtube Rank" part of your signature doesn't work anymore, the new link is www.cbecrft.net/yt to get to the Google Docs page (just informing you xD) :P All in all, good job, and I'd love to see more!

Thank you so much :3 and also thanks for letting me know about the YouTube rank thingy xd

I like never coming down better
Just the fact that you like something makes me happy xd

I agree, with better sounding instruments / better samples it would be much better than the first song.
Yeah I know, I wish one day I could be more professional at this stuff. xd

No need to be professional as I like the first song more then the second one. Keep it up, maybe you have a secret talent that you didnt discover yet?
Thank you! :3 I'm not sure whether this is a talent yet, but I'm sure gonna be working on music alot more.
