I was thinking of ranked players having access to the command /nick. This enables ranked players to be able to nickname themselves, no matter which game they're in. An example would be /nick Plebian. This changes my chat name to Plebian, but my name will still be TBNRPlebster on TAB. Another suggestion is that the higher ranked players are, the different colours they can access to customize their name. Eg: Coal gets access to 3 colours, Iron gets 5 and so on. Obsidian ranks will get access to all the colours. Hope this makes it.
Thanks,
TBNRPlebster

I nickname idea had been suggested before, it could fake specific people, and get people in trouble. The colour changes in the name, will just make it peoples eye hurt with the amount of colour in one name.

This has been suggested before. Althought it wouldn't be a great idea. Ranked people are able to change their name in chat. So they can talk in offensive language and can't be reported due their Nickname.

I think it's unnecessary to me, but I know some people will like this.
However, I'm sure some Donators will ruin it by abusing /nick by swearing in the chat without being able to see their real IGN.

Yeah, also people could pretend to be other people. People being nicked, would mean that rank prefixes wouldn't be a thing. Also people could fake the Youtuber rank..

I don't really think it's a good idea, I love that cubecraft has a chat that doesn't look like a mess, if they were to add nicknames it honestly would look like a mess.

Coal gets access to 3 colours
HOLY MOLY, Coal Rank exists? I need that rank! Probably the best rank ever!

okey, now on topic.

This has been suggested a lot of times before, and the outcome was pretty much the same every time.
''Yes, it would be cool. But it'll probably get used more in bad ways than in good ways.''
For example, sexual names, or pretending like you are someone else (YouTuber, Twitch Streamer).
Also, with your colours, chat would be total chaos!

So, although it might seem cool, and fancy. It's not a really good idea because of the problems it'll bring with them.
Yes, innovation is good, but there are way better idea's out there which bring way less concequences with them.

They won't give ranks acces to /nick because they want the players to know who their playing with...

/nick? Only with some good coding on it:
-Players can't change their name, only colors. And yes, this is possible as I've seen this on other servers. Only then, it would be a nice thing to have, otherwise people could easily abuse it to advertise/scam and just do /nick and they got away with it, so yeah.. Only colors.
