Need to get this off my chest.

Im sure I will get some hate by making this post but I need to get this off my chest.

I, as an active forum member, am annoyed by the amount of useless posts by fellow forum members. I see so many (old) topics with 5+ replies of members saying the same thing (Example: "@Stefanvld this thread has been answered, lock it please")

First of all, its not up to any of us to make the decision to lock a thread (UNLESS THE THREAD WAS BUMPED OR THE THREAD IS GOING OUT OF HAND OR THE MAKER OF THE THREAD WANTS TO GET IT LOCKED), secondly, its basically spamming the thread/forums.

There are also many useless comments that only contains a simple "+1" or a "nice"

Please do something about this.

No I'm joking. But you can say 'Problem solved? @[Tagg] lock.' if the problem is resolved. So I don't see that as a useless post.

This wouldnt be useless indeed. But it is useless when 5 people ask that on the same topic lol :P

Thats true, however - members could be given a warning followed by a tempban from the forums if they get caught doing it several times (purposefully)?

That's what forums are for though.
For example, in the suggestions forum, if you want to say you like an idea, you don't want to waste your time giving an in-depth response about why you love the idea, why it would help the server and the cons of the idea?

Before there were any forum rules, we did this a lot. I would say that rule actually improved the forums ;)
