"Youtubers get away with it, Why don't we!"
Look, I'm fine with youtubers, and I've got nothing against Woofless and Vikk, I'm just using this as an example, but something has to be done about this, for all teamers.

WATCH THE VIDEO BEFORE READING ON!

As you seen in the video, Woofless justifies his actions nearing the start, he mentions that it isn't teaming, but, that they do want to be the final two. Now, this I'm fine with, this is (For those of you who do not know) a "Truce", where TWO or MORE people agree not to hurt, or in any way, inflict damage to harm the other person. Now, this, as I mentioned, is fine, nothing in the rules laid out by CubeCraft has anything thing against this. My main point is later on!

Now, you may be thinking, "Well, whats the difference between Teams and Truces then!". Well, there is a clear line already set.
Agreed upon most players and servers, the point of which a "Truce" becomes a "Team" is when the TWO or MORE people start to help each other in anyway possible. For this game, it might be helping another defend or attack a player, distracting one player so another destories there egg or even just donating resources to one person.

My main evidence is this, near the 12:10-12:35 mark in the video, Woofless says, "We really shouldn't team.".
Now, props to Woofless trying to stop it. But still, this is proof, that they both know they are teaming (Well, Woofless at least!), and as you see again and again, they keep helping each other out. At 32:50-33:55, Woofless says;"I have a lot of diamonds upstairs dude.". Now if you listened before hand, Vikk is trying to get the "God Sword". which costs 1 stack of diamonds, which Woofless is assisting Vikk, by donating resources to help him, which, is teaming, thats that.
If you want more evidence, watch near the end, at least the last ten minutes, where they keep helping each other out!

Now, deny it or not, the evidence is right there, to a point, where even Admins and Mods admit it! At this thread page (Posted Here: https://www.cubecraft.net/threads/youtubers.97938/page-3#post-456163 ), the Moderator stefanvid says;
"Youtubers bring people to our server, which is why we don't immideately ban them. However, if they do continue breaking the rules, they will get punished eventually."
So, what this moderator is saying, is that, they KNOW that Youtubers break these rules, and that he claims, that they will get punished.... but they never do!
Further more, after this was posted,
THE THREAD WAS LOCKED, suspicious, I think very much so!

AGAIN AND AGAIN, Youtubers break the rules, CLEARLY SET OUT and they do NOTHING! EPISODE AFTER EPISODE, PEOPLE TEAM TOGETHER, AND ADMINS DO NOTHING, JUST SO THE SERVER GETS MORE PEOPLE!

Admins, Moderators and even the Owner, completely ignore this! Youtubers are pardoned, again and again. These rules need to be enforced upon everyone, Players and Youtubers alike! THIS HAS TO END!

So, my Message to the Admins, Moderators and the Owner himself.

  • Why are these people unpunished?
  • They are players, on your server. They should be treated like anyone else!
  • The evidence is everywhere, online, in Video for everyone to see.
  • Is Cross-teaming only allowed to Youtubers?
  • And, if this is happening, and you know that it is, why would you exploit them to get more people on your server!

Thanks for Reading, and please get this message out there...

Now, I feel like I'm being a bit picky, just focusing on Woofless and Vikk. They are great youtubers, and role models to everyone in the YT community, but this happened almost everywhere on YT.

Many people, including me, have reported different youtubers for cross teaming and team killing, but they never get banned. In another thread (I'm too lazy to get a link to it :P) some staff member (I don't remember who) told us that they don't get banned for breaking some rules the first time, they just get a warning, as they bring a lot of new people here.

Its Great to now that someone shares my problem! :D
Its crazy how these people get away with it! We need for this to change.
(In my not-so-humble opinion, I think that CubeCraft knows about this, and does nothing.... Shhhhh....)

Also, could you please send me the link, that would be greatly appreciated!

Actually if the staffs banning them from the first warning, they can't promote the server anymore. That's why.
I can accept that, everyone deserves a second chance. But these people keep doing these things again and again, every single episode, people make SERIES of these things! They don't do it once, they do it over and over again!
I get that they want to promote the sever, just set this rule for EVERYONE!

Completely agreed!!
Yeah, we advertise something. Someone report us without warnings. BOOM! MUTED
A YouTuber advertise something. 3 warnings, reported. BOOM! HE ISN'T MUTED

But not every single episode is reported. ;)

One of the biggest reasons making it so that YouTubers don't get punished straight away seems to be that they help promoting the server. The thing is, they promote it in a way which isn't good for the server at all. Yes there will be more players joining the server, but all those players think that teaming is allowed because the YouTubers they watched teamed as well...

Also, most of the ''YouTuber reports'' are about 2 YouTubers teaming in a SOLO game. But as the rules say, teaming is not bannable, but kickable. So I don't really see how these reports will help because by the time the video gets uploaded the game is over allready...
The YouTubers will get a warning, but will they tell to all their viewers that what they did in the previous episode is not allowed?

I personally think that that is the best solution here, making sure the YouTubers stop with teaming by giving them a real last warning, if they break the rules again they'll lose their rank. Than secundairy, asking the YouTubers to tell their viewers that teaming is not allowed and that they'll stop doing it. This way the YouTubers who really care about playing fair will have the YouTuber rank, the others wont. And the players who join cube because a YouTuber they watch played there will know the rules and will hopefully not break them.

I think your solution would work, definitely, and I would be happy to support it!
Just to add, it isn't just Kickable, it can result in a Temp Ban in some cases, which in my humble opinion, should happen more often!
But yes, I think by telling those YouTubers, thats it, final warning, and then telling the viewers something like you suggest would work fine, and please many people!

Truce = No Harming Each Other
Teaming = No Harming Each Other and Aiding the other

What about when there is 3 players, doing a 1 v 1 v 1, but then two of the players target the other 1 player? Does that considered as teaming?
Tru, they team, but the thing is, you need to be more consistent about the definition of Truce and Teaming :V
Would prefer googling them...

Well, one thing first
Teaming is actually allowed across some games on this server, With the following example :
1. Sky Wars Solo
2. Survival Games
(and i forgot the others .-.)

And again, if you are acknowledging that teaming is not ban-able but kick-able, why would they lose their rank?
If This would apply, then to be fair, all the whole server need to do so for all their player since, the other are also "Players"

What i mean in a nutshell : If you say Youtuber break rules = loses rank, then Obsidian player break rules will also loses rank.
Fair right?

If you want equality to the whole server, i suggest you to think what equality will actually do.
Will it be better, or worse?

I agree, although I doubt anything would actually happen.

Im sure a lot of YouTubers are fine with not teaming in SOLO eggwars, they'll probably make SOLO series (example: prestonplayz) and team in the TEAM section. The ones who dont care and dont want to listen to this are allowed to keep making videos, but will lose their YT rank.
YouTubers have a lot of power on their viewers, if they stop teaming in SOLO, and tell their viewers why, im sure a whole bunch of the viewers won't team as well!

We're talking about crossteaming in all games and teaming in SOLO eggwars.
Teaming is kickable yes, but the YouTubers get warnings if they get spotted. What I'm suggesting is that after a YouTuber breaks the rules several times, and ignore all warnings. Than he loses his rank.

There is a big diffrence in between YouTuber ranks and ''normal'' ranks (Iron, Lapiz, Gold, etc...). YouTubers have earned their ranks for making videos on cube. But if those videos are not presented in a way optimal for cube (videos in wich the YT'er breaks the rules) than what is the point of giving them the YouTuber rank?
YouTubers have a task on cube, they show the server to their viewers. A bunch of the viewers will come to cube because their favorite YouTuber comes there too. I don't really see what you're trying to say with ''If you want equality to the whole server'' Because we're not discriminating anyone. It's just that YouTubers have a task, if they do not forfill their task in the way cube clearly says to them to do. I don't think they deserve to earn the rank.

Youtubers do get banned when they break major rules. Unfortunately we do have to bend the rules slightly when they do minor things, as they bring in players to the server. Most YouTubers who have been caught breaking the rules have been spoken to and made aware that they were doing something not allowed.

A fair few YouTubers have lost their rank due to not listening to us when we tell them something is against the rules.

well then THOSE PLAYERS team and then THEY GET BANNED not the oh so special (who I watch almost everyday and respect)YOUTUBERS. what do u think players will do then? they wont be HAPPY. what I'm trying to say is if they attract people like this the people will do what THEY do and then players get banned instead of youtubers
