Hey !
Slvrp & me, swtie wanted to submit another FFA map;
The idea is a very abandoned looking nature area and our main character in this is our very own squirrel named Mr. A. Korn, that you can see in the middle of the map. We wanted to have a lot of size difference in this map to match Cube’s style of map building so there is a huge spiral to give some sight on how the map is located in the middle of the nature far away from modern society
The whole build took roughly 30 hours; We learned a lot about how to use Axiom which we used most of the time during building this. The original map is on another server & later transferred it to a private server to finish it up
We really tried to go with the idea of Cube’s FFA maps in mind, but some of them are detailed and some aren’t and some are full and some are very spacious; so we just ended up doing what felt right with this one :)
There was couple of my friends’ visiting and giving opinions and ideas for it as well so we already got some feedback during building from pvpers themselves ♡
We also rebuilt a lot; at the beginning we had a different idea and we ended up scratching it at the very end and doing something completely different with some parts of the map; but I think it ended up looking quite nice; as a build atleast
Some info:
Width & Length: The map is about 250 x 220 blocks fully; the playable area is 20-40 blocks smaller from each side.
Height: 158 blocks (From the absolute bottom to the absolute top of the big spiral; the highest playable area is at about 50 blocks high)
Number of spawns: 8
We didn't know if moderators would choose the spawn names, but we came up with some:
"Main" Spawn: Squirrel,
Amethyst,
Acorn,
Mushroom,
Pillar,
Cave,
Crater,
And Fossil
Those spiral stones all around the map are landmarks to mark the spawns that are mentioned above ♡ It is a very “full” and detailed map for a change; but there are also very open spots for people to pvp at and there are also some easter eggs and tunnels for people to find ♡♡
I’ve personally never built an animal in Minecraft so I’m actually very proud of myself for building Mr. A. Korn and his acorns ♡
We’ve gone through the whole map to see if there is enough lighting & no death traps and blocked some places; but if there is something to change to match Cubecraft’s standards, we can change it with no problems
We can provide a roughly 30-45 min timelapse of us building the map if requested; It’ll take a while to render so only if requested :,)
Even if you decide not to add our map to Cubecraft, building it was still super nice and fun and we learned a whooole lot of new stuff that can make our future builds even better. Whatever they might be ♡
