whenever I go to new, half the time it’s an old post which is cropping up again and again because of new replies. Any way to disable this? Looking at the new posts right now, I can see posts from Thursday, Saturday, etc. Even though today is Monday.

by "new" you probably mean "latest" this page is for new posts. not the "latest"
