I can refer you to the previous thread on this, if you have specific requests for words being removed from the filter or at least removed from the party chat filter let me know. Giving players feedback on whether their sentence has been blocked or not is not going to happen, the benefits of not showing feedback far outweigh the negatives.
Okay but it gets to the point where it just looks like a lazy solution. You are willing to sacrifice the effectiveness of your chat to actually communicate just to avoid swearing?
I get it’s a solution that works, but maybe you should work around it. Especially because you ask for player feedback but how are players gonna give you feedback if they can’t see what gets blocked in their sentences.
It’s absurd, for example I never swear and still some of my messages get blocked for no reason. And I only realize they got blocked until I haven’t got an answer in a few minutes.
If the chat filter actually worked properly and didn’t filter out things that are in no way insulting or obscene, then people would be okay with this. But that’s not the reality.

I'm more than willing to make changes that make sense, the problem seems to be that it apparently blocks incorrect things all the time, but no-one can actually give me a sentence that gets blocked when it shouldn't, or at least haven't yet in this thread. I regularly review the blocked chat and fix things that shouldn't be blocked, although I've not had to fix anything for a while.

How are we supposed to give feedback if we don't know when something is blocked?

Another big problem:
Let's say the word "player" is blocked by accident. (This is just an example.) And someone says "Player in comming" to their teammate.
On their screen they send the message and since there's nothing wrong with it, the player who send it thinks their teammate did too.
But he didn't. He didn't get the message because it's blocked.
The player who send the message has no way of knowing that and can't report it to staff because he doesn't know it's blocked.

You have to stop looking at this from management point of view and look at this from a players point of view.
I get it, the current chat filter makes it so there's no to less swearing. But that's the only positive part.
The negative? The chat filter might be full with blocked words that shouldn't be blocked, but nobody can report them because players will think the message was seen by others.
It completely ruins communication. You might as well block the entire chat because communication is ruined already.

You say the positive things outweigh the negative. But that's not true unless there's a big positive thing that actually outweighs the negative.
You think it outweighs the negative because you're management. You automatically bypass the chat filter iirc. We don't. We have to deal with this horrible chat filter.
So again, look at this from a players point of view.
Which you should've done before adding this horrible chat filter.

I'm looking at it from a player point of view as well. If we tell you what is being blocked again then the result will be that players actively try and bypass the filters that are in place in order to break the rules. That will result in those filters becoming unnecessarily broad which results in a bunch of false positive matches (we know this because this was the exact situation a year ago). No feedback means that filters can be kept narrower while also being more effective and allowing communication far more easily (because there will be fewer false matches). The positives far outweigh the relatively small impact to UX (which you could argue is actually a positive impact due to the reduction in false positives).

Well but sometimes i write a message in the chat, without swearing and toxic but that message is blocked and my friends can't see it. I agree with the words blocked like "L" "eZ" "touch" etc. don't remove it. yesterday i wrote in the chat "Por que nos tenemos en la f list?" (Why we're friends?) and my friend didn't see it. Please fix.

I send my message before reading this. I'm not trying to spam. Just didn't see this yet.

I am actually begging for this to be a joke or for me to misunderstand something you said.
If neither of that is the case:
You're kidding me right? You're actually kidding me? We don't give you any sentences to unblock? How are we supposed to do that: if we can't see if a sentence was blocked or not?!
This is seriously, by far, the worst response ever..
I couldn't be more mad about how stupid this is.
We don't give you words or sentances to unblock because we don't see if its blocked ourselves. Seriously.. How are we supposed to see if something is blocked? Download a mod that allows you to see if others got the message so we can then report back to you guys, to what? Help the server? Yet you guys add these chat filters that completely ruin the server. People have asked for this to be removed but you don't listen.
You refuse to.
You just look at the problem via management point of view. The people who literally bypass the chat filter!!
You don't see the problem at all so you think everything is fine. But it's not. For the love of God remove this. It's not a good feature.

That’s probably because you haven’t realized how common these fake blocks are. It gets to the point where I have to ask “did you get the message” every time I say something...
Maybe the chat filter should be re made, because as of now it just seems like it’s a mess of blocked words and their respective bypasses that collectively cause the filter to not work properly.

The chat filter blocked 54k messages yesterday alone, I'm not naive enough to think that none of these were false positives, but I don't think you appreciate the scale here. The fact that I've sat and watched the blocked messages for the last few minutes (at 1 or 2 messages a second) and not seen anything that shouldn't be there means the false positive hit is quite low. As I said, if you find stuff being blocked that shouldn't be, let me know and I'll look into it, I appreciate that this is made more difficult by not getting feedback (which itself reinforces why having no feedback is necessary).

If players are swearing like crazy, yeah, that's a problem. Blocking words like "noob" and "ez" isn't swearing. It's being toxic. Especially "ez". I get that these words a blocked. I'd perfer them not to be blocked but I don't care all that much about those words.
Saying actual swear words, like the f word, yeah, they should be blocked. I use them myself, probably way too often outside Cube. But I totally agree that they should be blocked.
So I think we can agree that certain words should be blocked..
But if a players tries to say "noob" to someone, and it's blocked. Does it matter that much that they find a way around it? No matter what you do,the chat will be toxic.
Hell, people can change their name to "UrEz and just simply typ "<" in chat. Are you going to ban them? No. Because being toxic isn't against the rules.
If they say "f u" but with the full word, and they bypass it: mute them and eventually ban them if they keep it up.
Yeah it's annoying them they bypass it, especially for staff.
But it's not so annoying that y'all should basically punish innocent people. Because if they just say something that's blocked by accident, nobody sees their message and you're basically punishing innocent players.

The thing is, players are more prone to realize their message got blocked if they had used a bad word in their sentence. Meanwhile, players that don’t even say bad things that could potentially be blocked by the chat filter have no idea of what is going on.
It at the end is always easier for those trying to break the rules.

The thing is, while we can all agree that there are some words that really shouldn't belong in chat on a Minecraft server, the practicalities of maintaining filters for those swear words and common bypasses for those words in multiple languages ends up with innocent words getting caught in the crossfire. It is in everyones interest to keep those filters as narrow as possible to keep chat usable for everyone. I've already gone through and fixed a lot of the old filters and rewritten quite a few others because they were far too broad. I've also gone through a few of the 'toxic' words and allowed them in party chat, noob and ez fall into this category.

This thread is still open and I'll review any valid suggestions put there: https://www.cubecraft.net/threads/chat-filter-word-requests.212389/

I am 100% sure not all 54k words were "innocent" words. But some might were.
Some were words like "noob" and "ez".. words that aren't even against the rules (iirc) so the positive still doesn't outweigh the negative because not all 54k words were words like "f u"
And the f word should be blocked. So even if it shows "this word is blocked", it would've been blocked.
Yeah some bypass it but not all and again not all people

"Innocent words get caught in the crossfire"
Now innocent players do.

People can still bypass words. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that the f word is blocked. Replace a letter and congratz, you successfully bypassed the chat filter!

And, again, for the millionth time:
We. Cannot. Report. Innocent. Words. If. We. Cant. See. That. Our. Message. Got. Blocked.

This is a lot harder to do when you don't get instant notification that you've been blocked, I realise that you can't begin to appreciate what this means as a user.

We. Cannot. Report. Innocent. Words. If. We. Cant. See. That. Our. Message. Got. Blocked.
By that measure you are complaining without actually knowing if you have something to complain about. We are not going to start giving feedback on blocked messages, so stop asking for it, if you'd like to help let us know which words need reviewing. This thread is at 2 pages and as of yet, not a single suggestion has been forthcoming. I'm locking this thread now, if you have words that need adding, removing or being allowed in party chat you can suggest them here: https://www.cubecraft.net/threads/chat-filter-word-requests.212389/
