what is hay in eggwars for?

I have always wondered why the hay is in eggwars ?? the truth is that this item is hardly used by anyone and I do not understand why this ?? someone tells me its use ??

Haybales reduce fall damage if you land on them. I have never had to use it in eggwars, however.

its Aggainst the fastest pikaxes, They will slow down ur speed of ur pikaxe.

You can mine them fairly quickly with just your fist tho.

It's like wool early game; you can break it easily with your fist, but if you can punch them they won't get the egg like they would otherwise. Or glass or whatever I don't play eggwars much

I have never used it, but as everyone is saying, it reduces fall damage.

To be honest I don’t use it that much but if pared with obsidian hay makes it slower with a pic making most players change their tool. I know it may not sound like that big of an advantage, as most players can switch super fast especially on java but it could potentially save your egg from being destroyed if you come on time to defend

The hay. It's there because it's going away slower. Like chest in eggwars.

In bedrock It would be used more often if there was a way to buy 5+ in one click.

instead of placing a block before I land on the ground, I always try to place hay, even though most of the times I don't remember

Not many people have an axe on them so if you use hay as a defence it will take a while for your enemy to break into your egg. Therefore, it gives you more time to kill them or get back to base.
