Good afternoon,

As we all know, Skywars is flooded with hackers the last couple weeks.
Most of the times, the staff team is busy with other things (which is very understandable).

What about adding an option "Vote Kick"?
This option allows to kick the hackers without the need of a staff member.

I do understand that this is a powerful tool and is not allowed to be abused, for that reason there should be a limiter on who has it.
I would suggest adding this option only to players that filled in an apply form and got selected by the staff team.

The vote itself should be considered by how much % from the players voted for "YES" or "NO".
If a player got voted out multiple times in a short amount of time, this action could be resulted in an automatic ban if necessary.

I do have the feeling that we have to do something regarding the hackers in Skywars, most of the times it is unplayable.

If you have any suggestions, feedback or disagreements, let me know in the comments.
Thank you for reading and have a lovely day!

Hey! This sounds interesting if this would be handled with great care. I am however a bit scared of this being abused in some way or form but Cubecraft could maybe try it out. Votekicking a player out of the game would help players get cheater out of their games. However I do not believe a votekick system should lead into someone getting a ban, that is something for sentinel and the moderators to handle. The votekick system might take a lot of effort to implement as well and in the end the votekick system only removes the player cheating from a single game. He would just be able to wander off in to the next game so I don't know if it would be worth implementing it. My view about votekicking is very mixed and I don't think the staff team will implement this in the end even it would be a good experiment.

If that feature were added, some players would try to vote-kick anyone who is too good at the game.

Yeah, that is the only thing that I'm afraid of. Hence why I said that this feature should only be available to a certain amount of people that are selected by the staff team.

@Loskol & @yurisatori0312 both of you voted for "NO", any feedback / suggestions?

Hi!

I disagree with this suggestion. Even tough hackers are a problem, adding a "Vote Kick"option can be very dangerous. It is a tool that can be easily abused, and people could use it to kick anyone they want for no reason or just because they are losing.

To deal with hackers, we have some methods. You can use /report (nick) or /sr in game, or you can record a video and report them at https://reports.cubecraft.net/report.

I disagree. How likely is it that people will abuse it?

As I mentioned: "I would suggest adding this option only to players that filled in an apply form and got selected by the staff team."

Only players who got selected by the staff team are allowed to have the feature. It's the same way how helpers / moderators are getting selected and handed their "powers".

Thank you for the feedback and suggestion, I do have to say that reporting them is usually taking ages before they get punished which is normal because the staff team can not be there 24/7. So I'm trying to think about a solution to get hackers removed temporary till there is a staff member who can take full action.

About the abuse part, I do understand that and hence why I added that only players who get selected by the staff team are allowed to have this tool. I do have to admit that this could take time and effort.

Hi fesa so you just recently rejected one of my bug reports that Stiff/Tim the manager has told me to post here for better tracking; It was the one about projectile aiming direction using the spot of the previous tick.
