Try to practise while playing games like FFA or Duels. The best way to learn PvP is playing against different players. Although, that's how I learned it, it worked for me.

If it is the latest version, on the same server you can practice in duels or FFA. If it is 1.8, in specialized servers for that or better in the same Cubecraft to eventually learn some techniques. Well I learned to play on the same server:v

You need to get better aim, try everyday in duels or ffa
Or just watch some pvp vids on YouTube
