Escalated The solution to accept Labymod reports?

Should this be a good Idea (If its possible for developers to add this)?

Hey there!

As we all know, much players on Cubecraft use labymod. The only thing that keeps me away from using it, is that reports will be DENIED that are made with labymod. The reason of this is, is that you can change players names. Which allows you to make FAKE reports

Today, I might found something to allow Labymod reports!

Add the following plugin to the server:

(https://www.spigotmc.org/resources/labymod-server-api.52423/) In this plugin you can disable tags so it'll be as hard as every other client to make false reports. When this is added, staff can allow Labymod created reports, since this is the most used client on the server. I think people will be happy with this.

Let me know what you think about this, Should developers add this?

(Keep in mind im not the smartest with plugins, so idk if this is possible. But I can always try ;D)

EDIT:

'Keep in mind that this plugin may not work 100%' It was my intention to give an idea about how to accept labymod reports. So developers may create something like this kind of plugin themselves.

I absolutely don't want to put them this plugin straight into the server, it's just an 'Idea'. So they may can create a custom plugin like this. This is just for some inspiration for the devs.

Update: I've tested this onto another server. Wich is the same kind of Cubecraft (Bugeecord etc) and has around 40 players constantly. This worked out pretty well. Of course we did much testing for bypasses etc. We didn't found any way to bypass it.

I've posted a few screenshots/ video below:

I hope this cleared some things up for people that had a lot of questions about it.
Thanks for reading!
Have a good day and stay safe!

Very good that you came up with this plugin! However, I think people still will find a way to (of they want to) abuse the 'tag' function of LabyMod. They maybe will use other versions which by-passes this plugin or they will another mod which allows you to change tags. The rule that they do not allow LabyMod reports is a very legitimate point and decrease the change of a fake report. ^^

Of course, this needs to be tested fully before adding. Keep in mind this is just a suggestion. It may work or may not.

the country where they are big
I think because of the reason that you can photoshop it away easily.
This can be a reason as to why it’s not allowed. I think the main reason is that in older versions of LabyMod you could edit out the pencil so it would not show at all. I believe some players still use the old version. Maybe players can prove that they’re on a new version of LabyMod when they are reporting? I don’t know if you can remove the pencil in the newer versions of LabyMod, if someone can clear that up, that would be pretty cash money of you.

Yes, I know there are questions about this, you see a little yellow pencil when you change a name, but staff members don't wanna take the risk though, you can edit it out and that's the reason they're closing the reports. They don't wanna take any risk for fake reports.

Really don't know how it works, wether there are ways to bypass this or not. And if it affects all versions of labymod. But it does seem like something worth looking into, so many people use labymod and the complaints about not being able to report with it never stop. This would be really nice to have, and I'll want to forward this to see if it's a possibility. Thread Escalated!

If it would be possible to add this to the server I would love to see it. I don't play labymod because of the reports but I want to play with labymod for the hearth indicator. Hope this is possible and gets added.

Its slightly different. You must be looking at the person to show their hp, which is kinda annoying. Is there way to get JUST the laby hp indicator, without the other stuff?
I got the same issue. The healthindicator on labymod is really good but its annoying you can't report.

imo, having to look at the player to see hp isnt that big of a deal. you just get used to looking at it w/ ur peripheral vision
Well, for some players it can be seen as an unfair advantage. Maybe, if this plug-in works, they could also block Labymod damage indicator. Which was suggested also by much players.
