Don't like it when players stack mages, ice, quake, and poison towers next to each other? Then this is for you!

Suggestion 1
Why not have it so multiple mages increase the burn time and fire DPS? This option makes it easy for newbies/noobs to play the game. All 4 towers now cost 4 times as much (e.g. level 4 mage is now 2600 coins).

Want to see ice become a lot stronger? How about it stacks so that ALL mobs move at a minimum of 10% speed the more ice towers there are! Make them move as slow as a snail!

Suggestion 2
If stacking mages doesn't seem like a good idea, what about a warning message and also a tutorial going over how mages/ice towers "stacking" works? I've suggested adding a warning message when placing these kinds of towers close to each other. You can find the thread below:

It's kinda too op though. Just spread it out or kick the player that's stacking.
I myself however spread my ice/quake/mage/poison whenever I build. Kicking is usually not an option since most players don't use the votekick feature.

You can't spread it out if it's not yours though. You can ask them to, but most of the time they'll refuse to by ignoring your pleas.

It would be too OP if you were to place 50+ mages at spawn and watch a giant burn to ashes. That's exactly what @ymbmg said when I asked him the same thing. I actually thought of making this thread last night after playing with his team. The reason I post this is because a random said, "we need more mage towers next to each other to combat caves"; I want to see what the forums has to say about it.

While I get personally annoyed whenever someone tries to stack towers, I don't think that they should be able to be stacked. If you just froze an enemy for an entire row, it'd be pointless. You can't poison someone twice, all it does is just add to the time they're poisoned, not make it stronger. An enemy on fire isn't going to be anymore on fire than it already is.

I do agree with the warning. How it should be implemented though is another story. Most people don't listen to the advice of their team and just build willy nilly. There could be a proximity sensor of sorts though that will say the mage is too close to another mage and cannot be placed. That is likely the only way it'll be effective.

If thats the case itll be a race to who can put down the most mages the fastest

Ice towers cant be included as they dont do damage or slow anyone down more the more you have

Poisons only extremely effective to a few mobs

Sorry but no beefing them would take away the strategy That makes the game fun

Might be a bit op and by the way. Snails are not the slowest animal in the world.:p

The point is, so many noobs think it's a good idea to stack these towers. Sure, might not be the slowest, but it's still slow.
ok. Yes but if we dont teach them the game mechanics they will never learn how to play the game. The slowest one is the sea star.

wouldn't that make the slow AoE pointless?, I suggested a little time ago about buffing ice towers but this isn't the best way to do it
Why not have it so multiple mages increase the burn time and fire DPS?
If someone is one fire and you add more fire is there any effect?, Here is a quick tip, place a mage tower at the beginning area where the monsters spawn, make it level 4 and 'Study' it, when you see it stop at a certain area in that area place another mage tower and just repeat, best efficient way
what about a warning message and also a tutorial going over how mages/ice towers "stacking" works?
This is something i do like, but sometimes there are those players who don't go through the tutorial, maybe as a hint? "Placing a mage tower next to another mage tower is pointless, separate them to make the best of it" <--- Same thing with ice towers, until then i suggest not telling your teammate horrible things "OMG u idiot don't place these next to each other" say it in a nice way usually they cooperate "Please sell this tower here, it isn't very good when near another one" but don't tell them to sell all of them at once, slowly start asking him/her to sell them but sometimes u have to listen to them if they say "Sell this"

Good idea. The reason I put it as "maximum of 90% slowdown" is to point out what newbies think when they place stacked ice/mage.

That's exactly what I do, but because mages have a range of 15 blocks (5 3x3 tower lengths), it's better to space them out by 27-30 blocks to make the most out of mages.

This is something i do like, but sometimes there are those players who don't go through the tutorial, maybe as a hint? I always remind my team that mages/ice/quake/poison don't stack at the start of the game. If I see them stack, then I repeat and ask them to sell it. If not, I go for the votekick option if they refuse to listen at all.
To @AboodPlayz: Responses are in bold (in the quoted post).

@agent320: True, but right now not even the tutorial is all that helpful (shows only the general idea of how to play) and most don't even read the forum (possibly explains why we have so many rulebreakers).

Edited the following into the OP:
-Updated suggestion 1 to make mages, ice, quake, and poison 4 times more expensive.

Side note: A lot of the randoms I find rarely cooperate or even know what they're doing (applies to any game). Most abandon their team, think only for themselves and not for the team (that's how I lost one team SW game yesterday, worst loss I have ever had), and don't listen to good advice from experienced teammates.

Point #3 is probably what most do in TD since 1 person can mage stack, affecting everyone on the team.
