Java Stuck in chest

i just sat in a game of eggwars where the opponent team had build in there egg with chests. wen i started breaking the obsidian around it i fell on a chest and at thad point i was stuck. i could not move and was glitching. i wasn't the only one to get stuck. 2 of my friends whrere also stuck in those same chests. i dont know if they used it on purpose but its a really weird glitch because we could't break the egg or move away.
i hope someone can explain what this glitch is or can do something about it

If you place a chest or open one whilst falling or take falling damage, it usually ends up glitching you through it. This isn't really a bug from the server but more or less the game. Usually, if you get glitched into them you can break it slowly because it gives it a glitch behavior where the breaking timer doesn't deplete, so that should help you, or you can get someone to break you out. In all honesty, if you can't get out, I'd recommend just leaving that game. Sentinel could detect that as you flying and can get you banned falsely which would ultimately suck.
