Round robin is where everyone PvP's each other. 1 point for a win, 0 points for a loss. The player with the most points at the end of all the matches wins.

True. But there could be a round robin AND knockout.
Say if 32 players enter, you have 8 groups of 4 people, they do a round robin and only the group winners progress. Then those 8 players go into knockouts. Might take a long time but it removes people winning luckily :P
