Your skill is OK, try to use more secondary weapons, put your sword in the first slot. Look after those critical spots, such as under trees and stuff. Certain servers allow Block-Hit, you can use that too. I personally use Block-Hit on ccg because I feel as it helps me.
Try to have keyboard or mouse shortcuts for a quick change between the fishing rod, flint and steel and your sword. Another tip that I can give you is to have a clean inventory that`ll help too :P
