Java Private Message suggestion

So, currently when we have private messages turned on, we can private message everyone - and they can also private message you;

But when you have it disabled;

We can't private message anyone, not even friends, while it clearly states "random players."

I think this should be having another option to allow private messages from only friends (and for example, staff should be able to private message you at any time, currently I don't think they can since I couldn't /tell to FluffyRoses the other day)

Please leave your opinions ^-^ I'm not gonna add a poll this time, people just vote and don't state any reasons why they voted their selected option.

As Cutee already said, /fmsg exists. But if it states ''random players'' and friends can still not msg you, it's a bug, right?

You're right but when you're watching yt or checking the forums and some friend /fmsg's you, you don't get that *ping* notification
You get the *ping* notification with /tell, so yes, it's useful

Then they could add the *ping* when someone /fmsg's you.

I acutally don't agree with this. I think it should stay as it is since it's pretty much your own choice to turn this on and off.

I actually don't agree with my life either, but here I am, still here. Besides this will probably be escalated as mods can't /tell other people that have it disabled either. And it's mandatory for them to be able to.

They could also just make so staff are able to "bypass" this and private message people no matter what instead of changing it for everyone.

Changing it for everyone is the easier path to go with but whatever, I don't care much about your opinion anyway.

Comes in handy for certain people I think, but not for me. Most times I don't want any messages and also from Mods. Or I speak with everyone or I just want to be left alone. For me there's no midway.

If you don’t care about their opinion don’t make a thread. You couldn’t seriously have expected everyone to agree with you and/or not have a suggestion onto yours.
