It needs a buff. It could also be used for bridges, but for covering your egg it would nice to have 10.

I agree, I had this struggle in a few maps what's pretty annoying, so I need to jump off the edge what cost a lot of time. :D
10 is better more than it isn't necessary in my opinion. :) @Mac

Since this kit gives you 8 blocks, and money bags can give you 20, money bags kit is 2.5x better than this kit at protecting an egg, completely destroying the point of it. Diorite does takes longer to break, but it doesn't really make a difference. I say change it form 8 to maybe 12 blocks.

The kit is designed to turn around it to your egg, not to build to the middle :)

I have seen people jumping of the island to get more blocks or golden apples, but I won't do that myself.

10 seems the best option here.

Also, I am saying that 10 blocks makes sense as a minimum. Having more than 10 is of course viable.

Yes it just makes sense you should be able to cover your egg fully :)
