Player report rules and guidelines

We are very thankful for your interest in reporting rule breakers. CubeCraft relies a lot on its player base, especially the players that actively report those who disregard the rules. Whether you create 1, 10 or 100 reports, you may all have the satisfying feeling of cleaning up the network!

If you are rather new to Cubecraft or just one of the OG members who would like to start reporting, it is very normal that you do not know our report rules and guidelines. This thread will explain what you should, and should not do when reporting players on our network and more.

Report rules

When you want to report a player on our network, you will have to comply with a number of requirements. Not complying to these requirements can get your reports account access restricted, and when appropriate, your in-game account will be punished too.

1.1 Falsified evidence
Do not submit any type of falsified evidence. Doing this will get your reports/forums and in-game account permanently banned from our network. No exceptions, even if you are not the owner of the evidence. You are fully responsible of every report you submit.

1.2 Trolling
The report website is not a place to troll. Trolling could be submitting a report with random videos/screenshots, but could also be giving wrong timestamps on purpose or inappropriate extra information.

1.3 Old evidence
Do not submit a report using evidence that is older than 14 days.
If a player was punished with a screenshot or video in the past, and you upload the same evidence again to just get this player punished for a second time with the same evidence, your access to our reports platform will be restricted.

1.4 Repeating reports
Submitting reports about the same player with the same evidence over and over again is not allowed. If you want to discuss your report further, please contact the moderator who denied your report, instead of creating a new report.

1.5 Cheating clients
Reports that contain evidence made while using illegal modifications will be denied, your reports account will be permanently banned and your in-game account will be punished for cheating.

1.6 Do not submit reports using other player's evidence
Avoid submitting reports using other player evidence. You have to be the owner of the evidence presented in case we need any extra information and to be sure the evidence isn't old.
Exceptionally, we allow players to submit evidence of the player breaking the rules in their own video. For example: if a player decides to use cheats and share a video showing how they use them, you will be able to use this evidence in a report.

Report guidelines: Video evidence

2.1 General Information
Video evidence is needed for physical reports and screenshots are not accepted in this situations:

• Cheating
• Trolling
• Teaming
• Camping
• Bug abusing, win or kill farming and bypassing

2.2 Recording
PC and Mac
In order to record rulebreakers, you can either use a screen recorder or an external device like your phone. Some examples of screen recorders are OBS and Bandicam. You can also use clipping software like NVIDIA Instant replay or Medal. PCs with Windows 10 also have a built-in recording system, you can read on how to use that here. Console, tablet and phone record guides
Recording on console, tablet or phone will be a little bit different than on PC. A list of guides on how to record on your console tablet or phone can be found below. If you encounter any issues with recording on your device, please contact the appropriate support service. If that doesn't help, you can always record your gameplay with your phone or any other external device, just make sure you still meet the video evidence requirements.

2.3 Video uploading
Every recording method that is mentioned above is fine, just make sure that you upload your evidence to a site like YouTube or Medal. It is recommended to have videos that aren't longer than 5 minutes, otherwise dealing with every single report will take up a lot of time. On YouTube, make sure your video is either public or unlisted. Using copyrighted music in your report may cause YouTube to block your video, so it is best to not have music in the background. If your video is done uploading, you will have to paste the link to your video in your report.

2.4 Video evidence requirements
Video evidence has to meet some requirements in order to get your report accepted. When your evidence lacks one of these requirements, your report will be denied.

Requirements

• All four corners of your screen must be visible.
• Your video cannot be longer than five minutes, preferably shorter than two minutes. If longer, provide timestamps.
• The username of the player must be clearly visible.
• Do not cover a part of your screen by adding black boxes or blurring parts of your screen.
• Your scoreboard must be visible.
• Refrain from recording in "F1 mode", or it will be denied.
• The video must be recorded on the CubeCraft network.
• Slow motion in videos is not allowed and will cause your report to be denied.
• Text overlays will cause your report to be denied.

Report guidelines: Screenshot evidence

3.1 General Information
Screenshot evidence can be used for any offence that is not physical. Please note that you are always allowed to report with a video. If you want to report someone for swearing, you can also record a video of the chat if you want. Here is a list of all the offences that can be reported with a screenshot:

• Swearing
• Threatening
• Chat Trolling
• Spamming
• Impersonation
• Scamming
• Advertising
• Inappropriate username/skin (Can also be reported with a screenshot of their NameMC profile)

3.2 Taking a screenshot
Taking a screenshot is different on every platform. If you don't know how to take a screenshot, please read this guide by Minecraft. In this guide, they explain how to take a screenshot on Minecraft Java and Bedrock edition on almost every device.

3.3 Uploading a screenshot
If you report on Java, you can upload the screenshots to our reports site directly.
If you report on Bedrock, please upload your screenshot to a third party site like Imgur or Gyazo and post the link in your report.

3.4 Screenshot requirements
Screenshots have to meet some requirements in order to get your report accepted. When your evidence lacks one of these requirements, your report will be denied.

Requirements

• JAVA ONLY: Your chatbox has to be opened. (does not apply to username and skin reports)
• All four corners of your screen must be visible.
• The username and chat must be clearly visible.
• Do not cover a part of your screen by adding black boxes or blurring parts of your screen.
• Your image cannot be drawn or written on. Arrows, lines and markings are also not allowed.
• Your scoreboard must be visible.
• The screenshot must be taken on the CubeCraft network.

Report guidelines: Do not remove your evidence

4.1 Do not remove your video evidence
If you report a player with video evidence, please DO NOT remove your video or set it to private if the reported player was punished with your evidence. When a player contacts us about their punishment, we should be able to show them the video of them breaking the rules since they have all rights to view the evidence that was used against them. If the videos are cluttering your channel, please set them to unlisted.

We should be able to watch the evidence for at least 1 month after the user has been punished. If we need the evidence again and we can't access it, there is a possibility that the punishment will be undone and your reports account will be warned.
