You can only msg someone who is in the same lobby as you but if you see a person in your friend list who is online, but you don't know where he is, you can't msg him because the person isn't in the same lobby as you. So what if you can msg a person who is just online and not only in the same lobby as you. Or you just can msg all the people (if they are online) from your friend list that would be easy.
