Hi all,

My kids play a lot on Cubecraft. I play occasionally. They want to create their own little minigame to run on a server at home, just for us, and just for fun. I am a Java programmer by day and I have some spare computers. So that should all be covered.

My question is, what modding API to use? For example, Cubecraft, is it built using http://files.minecraftforge.net/ ? Or perhaps something else?

Thanks!

I can't tell for sure, but I think cubecraft only uses spigot. That would probably be the way to go when making minigames for unmodded clients like on cubecraft.

Thank you both for these replies!

I checked out the Spigot web page and it looks exactly what I want. I think I understand what Spigot does (on a high level), but what is Bukkit?

This is YOUR daily dose of facts #49-
Domestic cats can run faster than Olympic medalist Usain Bolt. Top speed for a cat is about 30mph (48.28kmh), whereas Bolt's record is 27mph (43.45kmh).
