Hi all,

My kids play a lot on Cubecraft. I play occasionally. They want to create their own little minigame to run on a server at home, just for us, and just for fun. I am a Java programmer by day and I have some spare computers. So that should all be covered.

My question is, what modding API to use? For example, Cubecraft, is it built using http://files.minecraftforge.net/ ? Or perhaps something else?

Thanks!

I can't tell for sure, but I think cubecraft only uses spigot. That would probably be the way to go when making minigames for unmodded clients like on cubecraft.

Thank you both for these replies!

I checked out the Spigot web page and it looks exactly what I want. I think I understand what Spigot does (on a high level), but what is Bukkit?

After quite a bit of grinding and playing mini games, I finally hit the milestone!
Really happy to see Level 50 on my profile. 😄

I mostly played CTF Duo and Bedwars, along with many others—and made some great friends too!

Next goal: Level 100 👀
50/100 — halfway there!
