You shouldn't join a game with @HackersDontWin in it, because you won't win. And, if you want to be savage, you shouldn't wear armour to become a naked warrior.
Jokes aside,
Always build at least one layer around your egg of any resource to prevent people from rushing you with their bare hands. You can build into people with a non-enchanted bow, as long as you're facing them with a bridge straight behind you, you only have to be cautious. Furthermore, really well done, good decision making, saving up for a dia sword instead of a single piece of armour. Idk how the PE combat system works, but it seemed like you humiliated everyone.
(Btw, DONT YOU DARE call the egg a bed, this is eggwars, not bedwars.) At last, not needed in this case, but if you really have a heavy protected base you can build yourself in with obsidian instead of normal blocks.
