How to make carved pumpkin in third island?

I am currently in third island and the quest is to fight snow golem . But now the problem is that i dont have any iron to make shears to make carved pumpkins . So now i cant progress further. So my question is, is there any way to make carved pumpkin while in
third island(taiga island) .pls help i am stuck here

You don't need a carved pumpkin, just place a regular pumpkin on top of the golem and you'll be fine.

No you cannot, you'll need iron to make shears which you don't have yet.
