Hey everyone!
Funny story, I actually built an entire whole other CTF map before this one... then deleted it all because I hated it, if you look around the discord you can find some dev screenshots as I was working on it. Any who, Hello! This is my first Cubecraft map submission! The idea came to me while I was playing Splatoon, In the game there is a map called Hammerhead Bridge in which you fight underneath a large bridge while cars drive above you. I thought about making a map that is similar, but instead of under the bridge you are on top of it, and so this was born! I feel like this map BREATHES in my style, many textures and colors.

Stats & Info:
8 Hours of active building (SOMEHOW)
Map is 32 x 50 x 110
20 Iron generators and 2 diamond generators on each side

My friends and I play tested this a few times and found it fun. It is intended that players are able to walk and build on the bridge as a way to traverse the map. If there are gameplay concerns regarding this I'm fine with it being blocked off.

I really like this design and the idea. However im worried about the space for pvp, to me in the photos it seems to "cramped".. Really well done though :)

Hi avovas! Thank you so much for your Map Submission!

What an interesting take on a BlockWars map, we quite like your building style, however we are mostly concerned with the dimensions of your map, as you know, we do have a minimum requirement for BlockWars CTF width (60 blocks). We think this concept has potential, but the map requires significant additional work before we can consider including it in our pool of CTF maps. We are giving you the opportunity to resubmit your map if you follow our feedback:

1. Your map is too thin, as far as I could count, the inside of the bridge is around 24 blocks wide? The minimum width we are looking for is 60 as you can see in the Map Submission Guidelines. We understand this is a big ask, but the map must be at least 60 blocks wide, even if we count the outside bridge structure as part of the width, and it still would not be enough.
2. The bridge structure to the sides is a big concern regarding how it may play out. You can easily see how a person who is quick enough to build upwards and get on the side of the bridge has a clear and direct path to return to its base with the flag without much opposition. Generally BlockWars CTF maps introduce opportunities for opponents to catch up to flag holders. One way this could be resolved is if you lower the side structures of the bridge to be at the same y-level as the inside platform, and perhaps connecting the structure to the inside platform. Even then, every path home must be treacherous, so adding some gaps or obstacles would be welcome.
3. The inside of the map is quite noisy, although we really like your use of colors and shapes, having so many obstacles in an already abnormally thin map would just make it very annoying to play on. If you do expand the map to the sides, perhaps you can declutter the space significantly.
4. The bridge itself is too bland in terms of texture, we feel like diorite doesn't look too good by itself, consider texturing the bridge with more than just diorite!

I have to note that following this feedback does not guarantee that your map submission will be accepted, but we will certainly consider it very thoroughly. If you do not wish to resubmit, we understand, and thank you for your interest anyway!
