I'm just pointing you on something, no need to be angry,
GOOD IDEA: Keep the filter everywhere but replace offensive words with an alternative non offensive word.
For example:
noob -> friend
kys -> gg
That way you can still communicate with your friends instead of having to edit your message until you find the part that got it flagged. A game I used to play in school did this and while it can cause rare misunderstandings it actually was really funny. It's just hard to be upset when someone says ''gg you stupid friend" after a game, even if you know he wrote something different.
Just replace the "forbidden" words with an asterisk or replace them with another word like @MagnificentSpam suggested.
