Extreme lag in competitive parcour, while low ping

My ping is (and has always been) very low, and I've never had any lag issues with Cubecraft. But specifically when I'm playing the new competitive parkour I get extreme lagbacks, and very glitchy jumps. When I type and press enter, my message takes multiple seconds to show up in chat, while this is normally instantaneous.

I compared different gamemodes, and I am quite sure that this problem is caused by competitive parcour; I experience no lagbacks at all in other gamemodes, while competitive parkour is virtually unplayable.
