I am reporting a critical degradation of the Asia region servers. This issue is being experienced not only by me but also by my friends and many other Asia-based players.
1. Observed Symptoms
Extreme Latency
Ping spikes to 300ms–1500ms+ during peak hours (12:30-14:30 UTC) and during the daytime on holidays. The infrastructure seems unable to handle the player load.
Session Freezes (1 in 50 games)
The match freezes completely. Commands like /hub do not work, forcing a manual disconnect and resulting in an automatic loss.
Starting game
Occasionally, the cage does not disappear for ~3 seconds after the game starts.
2. Background & History
It is a fact that the Asia region has undergone two temporary closures and the implementation of a ROM (proxy) in the past to address connection issues. While these specific announcements seem to have been removed from Discord, I (and the community) remember these changes clearly.
3. Conclusion
I cannot say for certain if the ROM implementation is the direct cause of the current lag. However, it is undeniable that the connection quality has worsened significantly following these infrastructure changes. Since EU and NA regions are unaffected, I request an urgent audit of the Asia routing and proxy capacity to ensure fair play for the Asian community.
