Entity Cramming question

On skyblock I want to create a farm with entity cramming as the method to kill the mobs. Usually the default number is 25-26 minecarts. This can easily be changed with a command, I just want to know the number before i waste a bunch of my iron on minecarts.

Im preety sure its same as on vanilla. Keep in mind that server is on 1.8
