Hello, I'm Goody, also known as Goodyannathan and I play/played a lot of cubecraft.

I personally love this server and prefer it over anything else by far, I have spent a lot of time here and will continue to. I've achieved some truly amazing things, have had and will have an amazing journey and have become one of the better players on the cubecraft bedrock network. However there are some things I'd like to see/have changed. And I'm going to talk about one of them here: Rewarding players. I know multiple people have made suggestions on how to do it, but I have a different take on this.

Because it's now kinda easy to get on leaderboards and you don't have to be actually good at the game, you just need to play a lot. In my opinion, these people shouldn't really be rewarded that much, there is a group of people who achieved some way greater things and have spent way more time on cubecraft, making themselves a reputation, getting extremely good at the game, achieving things no one else has done before etc and these people should be rewarded. Also there could be some level rewards for high levels, but cubecraft is working on that, I believe.

So now we have a group of very skilled individuals, who deserve to be rewarded. Now is the question, how can cubecraft reward these people? In my opinion, a special club would be the best choice for this. You can apply for a club in the books of cubecraft world records, but as far as I know, you don't get rewards for being in such a club and the majority of the community doesn't care/know about these clubs. You can clearly see it, because the leaderboard club only has 3 out of 5 players, even though there are way more people than that.

This club could be called "Cubecraft Elite", housing the best and most famous cubecraft players. That club should actually matter and people should be eager to get in that club. When you have been accepted into that club, you could get an [elite] prefix for cubecraft, just as a fun idea as well.

With these things, the cubecraft elite would have more recognition within the cubecraft community and have a reward for their hard work.

Some requirements for being accepted into the cubecraft elite club could be:
-level 100+
-being on multiple leaderboards
-having 10k+ kills in at least two gamemodes
-having 1k+ wins in at least two gamemodes
-maybe something with friends/friend requests
-most importantly: The reputation they have on cubecraft

Maybe have like 5-10 (or a bit more) people in that club, just so it keeps being special and it wont get flooded with a lot of members. For people saying it will increase targeting: You can always turn off a prefix, or just dont speak in chat before a game. Also quite a few "elite players" already get targeted just for their name.
That's my suggestion on rewarding people, who spent a lot of time on cubuecraft and achieve great things.

Let me know what you think (I'd also really appreciate some feedback from the staff team or people, who (think they) are already something like an elite) And thanks a lot to @SeevenMC for helping we write this text and perfecting it, so I could really express my thoughts on this topic.

I really like this idea! I have to agree with you, like seriously, some people really work hard to achive goals, and they can even take up to years of hard work, they ought to be rewarded for that, somehow. And Goody, keep up the great work!

I mean yeah I agree but how do you really define who's elite and who isn't?
You could be amazing at the game, but not talk in chat, maybe because you dont speak the language or you just dont want to.
Maybe you play a lot of skyblock and have completed it 10x over, does that count you as an elite?
I played a lot of SG, Survival Games gives you 100 xp where as skywars gives you 125 and eggwars 250.
So what if I only play SG but because it gives less xp I'm only level 60, which I am.

Not everyone has multiple friend requests because not everyone camps lobby.
I could win a bunch of games but not have 10k kills because I play smart and not only go for kills.

I dont know, I didnt vote on the poll because I'm torn but I feel like this is biased and unfair.

I'm not sure how true this next statement is but I was told if u finish top 3 on Hive monthly leaderboards you are rewarded. I'm pretty sure this was suggested a while back and could be a cool way to get people to play more and reward them for it.

I just feel this would be determined more opinion based than factual.

if you go to the book of world records right now you can see that there are requirements for those clubs. however those clubs arent populair or well known. the idea is to make 1 club that has most of the requirements that the old clubs have. and make that a club for the best/most active players on cubecraft. this would mean that this club only contains a few players who meet the requirements i listed in the post. so if you meet those requirements you can apply and get added.

Yeah but even with the requirements how does that define someone being an elite?
I could have started playing cube when it got added to Bedrock, but be absolutely garbage or not enjoy pvp gamemodes.
Does this mean I'm not an elite?

the chance of someone thats garbage at pvp and not enjoying pvp gamemodes meeting the requirements listed above is very small so imo they arent elite in that case. an elite player is someone that plays a lot/is good at the game. most players that play a lot are at least decent at the game. i dont see a high chance of someone meeting the requirements that isnt a decent/good player.

If I played Cube since release but only play it every now and then and I only play Skyblock am I an elite?

no, an elite player belongs to the most active/best few on the network which means if you only play every now and then and only play skyblock youre not elite.
you also dont meet the requirements for the club in that case.

That just sounds really unfair to me sorry.

I really like the idea though if your not on a leaderboard you could still be one of the best pvpers so I think it should be decided not by leaderboards as sometimes they dont really show skill. It is mostly just grinding.
I agree with everything else you said though (:

Thats the point. We dont want it to be purely based on lb, since that doesnt require a lot of skill. But being on a lb should be a requirement, because it shows, that this person spends a lot of time on cubecraft, which is what we are looking for. If this gets added all requirements should matter, not only being on 2 leaderboards or not only being good at the game

i disagree with this suggestion and this is why,

- it would make them sound like they're more important, while every single player in cubecraft has the same value, so we cant place these few in the spotlight just because they are a higher level and call them elite.
- the fact you have to be active to be part of it is also unfair for people who joined years ago, as most get tired of the server or minecraft in general, despite being an "elite". not to forget people having a family since they're older, a job, school.... a lot of reasons why an elite cant become part, just because they have something else to do then play a game 24/7. 10k and 1k wins in 2 gamemodes is quite hard to reach for these people.
- their own prefix would be more of an ego boost then something useful. it adds literally nothing to the server in any way. a lot of players are already toxic and arrogant enough as they are right now.
- level 100+ is a lot, and as mentioned before, unfair for people who joined later.
- it doesnt make sense how you first say LB shouldnt matter, but you still need to be on one to become part of the group. the LB also changes a lot, so would people just get kicked out at some point?
- working with friends would be extremely unfair. every rank can have a different amount of friends.
- reputation is unfair for people who dont speak a specific language as many people might not know them, or they simply dont care too much about chatting.
- this would force people to play games they dont like. for example how i enjoy TD, but not pvp games. this would instantly leave me out.
- having a specific amount of players in it would make the club kinda pointless to work to, as someone would have to be kicked out to make room for someone new.

i think if you want an elite group you should maybe look for a discord server, but not official part of cubecraft.

I disagree with this idea for the reasons InsaneOrbitzz and InkAsriel already stated

Also, I wanted to point out -
Because it's now kinda easy to get on leaderboards and you don't have to be actually good at the game, you just need to play a lot. In my opinion, these people shouldn't really be rewarded that much
Here you say that people on leaderboards aren't necessarily good at the game, which I completely agree with.
But then here, you contradict yourself and say that being on a leaderboard should be a requirement for being "elite". Basically, all your requirements are just that they should play a lot and not actually be good at the game.

Overall, I disagree with this idea because it seems very biased, and it doesn't actually add anything to the server.

The idea does seem fun in a couple ways, but just from a mod/developer perspective they're never going to add something like this that puts certain players on a pedestal above others. -1

This would be a great feature in my opinion. I think that this would give the people a goal to work towards and give them a reason to play the game tbh. Promoting competitiveness is always good in my opinion. Tbh if this club would be added, there would have to be someone to manage it at all times, cause of all the new people wanting to join. The requirements would have to change overtime to actually include only the top 5-10 people though. I like this idea, but I think it could maybe lead to some controversy.
