please dont get less than 16 gb of ram; it isn't expensive and will get you a huge performance increase compared to anything less.

16 GB of RAM is sufficient for gaming and (video) editing, and you can always upgrade later.

Its better to spend it on something that needs it more.

16 gigs only cost 20 bucks more than 8 gigs, there's literally no reason to not get 16 gigs when it really increases performance

Like for Mc it is spacious enough and for encoding and (video) editing it is also fine, I also had 16GB for a while and that worked fine for those things.
