I'm mostly referring to this thread, but the whole subforum applies if it's incorrect too - https://www.cubecraft.net/threads/if-something-isnt-right.244834/

This thread needs to be updated to follow cubecraft's actual policies. Currently what's implied by the thread and what happens in practice are wildly different.

They also need to be clarified as the terms and language used is incredibly vague.

Examples include:
- What actually defines harassment? Harassment is a very broad term and apparently some isn't even worthy of a warning on the platform.
- Illegal activities is not network bannable. Cube has stated multiple times that child sexual abuse and advertisement of child pornography is allowed by members and even isn't illegal, which should be reflected in the thread.

Let me know if you have any other corrections below :)

This is an entirely false, baseless and outrageous statement to make. To clarify any misunderstanding: illegal, discriminatory or adult content is forbidden on our platform. Beyond this, all community members are expected to uphold our published Community Guidelines. Alleged breaches are investigated, with those found to be involved having action taken against them, including network bans.

Player safety sits alongside our standard moderation policies to help with complex or sensitive issues, on a case-by-case basis. We won't be drawn out to comment on specific cases publicly.

In aggregate, we spend hours every week reviewing player safety reports and regularly impose sanctions on players and provide resource and support for those impacted.

We welcome critical feedback and suggestions to improve: but we won't allow clearly false statements or hostile messaging against members of our team, to whom we have a duty of care.

CubeCraft highlights community safety more than many other servers, and giants of the gaming industry.

No school, gaming community, online platform or organisation has completely eliminated illegal, discriminatory or adult content. This is why, alongside the moderation and player safety work, we spotlight individual actions that players can do to stay safe online (e.g disabling DMs, blocking and reporting bad-faith users, not joining third-party communities and securing account details).

By equipping players with the tools and knowledge to stay safe online, alongside the safety & moderation work we do as an organisation, we believe that we provide a robust and proven method to keep our community a safe, welcoming and enjoyable environment.

CubeCraft will continue to review and adapt our policies and processes, led by the admin team and in consultation with our wonderful moderators and of course our valued community.
