Escalated Chat Logs - Better Chat Moderation

Thanks for taking your time to reply to the thread with a constructive and informative post. I really appreciate it. :)

Maybe a different type of chat log would be better? Because I personally believe that a screenshot is quite bad evidence due to how easily it can be faked. Perhaps a staff-only chatlog where a staff member can view messages from a certain community member or from a certain time in a certain server? A screenshot would still be necesarry, however, staff can also check up on fake reports to make sure messages were sent as mentioned within the report.

I absolutely agree that screenshots are easy to fake, and I support the idea of a chatlog though I don't think it should be accessible for regular players

FAKING A MINECRAFT CHAT SCREENSHOT IS EASY.
A Minecraft screenshot can easily be faked and therefore fake reports are easy to get away with.

I’ve seen a number of fake chat reports with doctored screenshots. It tends to be quite easy to spot when you know what you’re looking for. Even when done well, more often than not the phrase being reported isn’t able to get past the chat filter anyway. Those that do submit faked evidence are barred from reporting in future. There are a number of filters in a test state at any one time, we aren’t actively blocking but we are testing their accuracy, just because a faked sentence gets through the filter doesn’t mean it isn’t logged.
