I like the map. I think the gameplay is a lot more important than aestetics. To get a more apocalyptic and scary feeling I think the map would have to be smaller and have more narrow hiding spots, but that would make the gameplay worse. They could have put it in night time, but that would give a considerable advantage to users with brighness increasing mods so they would have to add a nightvision command or something similar.
