I don't think you understand the meme. EA always wants money, so this is about what lucky islands would look like if EA owned it. (Use Google for some more images using this)
The intent is to provide players with a sense of pride and accomplishment for finding different items in lucky blocks.

Pistols are actually one of my favorite guns. They're basically super-accurate sniper rifles that reload super fast but deal little damage. Excellent for a "death by a thousand cuts" strategy as well as just an excellent demotivator for enemies that can't land a snipe.
