Java Black name tag in chat

Today I noticed that the black name tag for ranks was gone.

I would like to see it back! +1 Name tag color :)

Nah. Staff can't see the black nametag well in chat reports - I believe that's why it was removed.

Yes, the name tag color black was always a thing but it got removed.

Hey!

I understand that you would like to see black colored names back, but I am not supporting this suggestion, the reason for this: Black colored names were removed because it was quite hard to see names in player reports. Which makes punishing players hard for staff because you are not always entirely sure if the name is written correctly.

So I completely understand why they removed the color and therefore I am giving this suggestion a -1, sorry!

No thanks, I remember when this was a thing years back and it was an absolute eye saur. It was impossible to read and just looked so ugly. Most importantly the final straw was when staff could read what the reports would say sometimes due to the username being black, leading to it being almost impossible to properly identify the culprit. Sorry but it's a no from me. -1

I don't really think that the black name is important, because its really difficult to read a black name, instead, a blue name is really easy to read.

It’s pretty hard to read people’s names while reporting them if they have this tag.
That’s why it shouldn’t come back, just use purple instead:)

Or you could just make a resource pack which makes the text black for you! :P
