Look at the Java announcements after the "Big change" and you will see that they aren't willing to invest more into the Java network (other than releasing stuff they already have laying around anyways).
It's all part of the plan, and adding actual (new) content to the Java network would kill that plan.
If you think you can do any better, then apply for designer :)

Yep, the last real update was in November and they only added the kit selection system...

I know Bedrock is where the player-base is at, but would it be too hard to add these games to both versions? This looks really cool, and disregarding the Christmas updates which have been reverted, Java hasn't had an update since November 26th. Said update was a featured game, essentially just the temporary re-addition of previously existing content.
Tower Defence has an extremely loyal - and very patient - fan-base that has been begging for a better tower placement system for over two-and-a-half years. FFA still has a serious toxicity issue, mediocre maps and kit imbalances. MinerWare still has bugs that have gone unfixed since long before The BigDisappointment Change. We want to actually be heard instead of just "listened to", or at the very least we want the illusion that Java isn't being canned because it cannot sustain itself anymore.
Please tell me there is good news around the corner for Java Edition. Even a Quality of Life update for the aforementioned games would have instant satisfaction, and would demand far less resources than producing an entirely new game. The point of The Big Change was supposedly meant to emphasise the games which are actually being played. Other than using nostalgia for removed games as an excuse for "updates", we haven't seen anything positive come out of The Big Change yet. The games that weren't canned are all games that had player-bases in the first place. You have stripped the server down to only a few core games; could you please refine them? They are trying to kill Java and make the Java community move over to Bedrock by releasing more and more Bedrock games.

You know those maps were old cube maps? Imo they should remove more maps, like flowers, nether .. or at least a revamp.

You should add that to JAVA edition, you can create a special place in the NPC of skywars that say BETA and then chaos skywars and if people like the game it can be permanent and you can do that in another games. Thanks for reading :)

So, buy n' build is gone? It was definitely one of my favourite games before the "update", and I understand that removing it seemed like a good decision, but it's still sad to see it just get removed instead of getting the old buy n build back. Hopefully this new game is good enough, I haven't tried it out yet.
