Actually, yes.

Its not a big deal. PvP is more akill intensive. In my experience , the Java devs have never made a bad decision.

Either way if you feel strongly voice youre thoght at reddit/twitter. Every voice matters. Maybe you can change it

It didn't, he only specified on reddit that it will be in an update post-1.14 in response to the post that leaked the information about the new combat.
