Hiiii! ♪゚✧・*
This post is for @Nathie , hehe.
I’m sure most people will agree that, currently, CCG is doing a better job at creating events / games involving the community, however I think this could be improved even further. This post is, to some degree, inspired by this post. As Luca correctly pointed out there, it can't be anything too crazy otherwise it's no longer cost-effective. However, I think this is important to do, as it sets an example of what the community should be like and hence would help to grow and maintain a friendly community. I know the reason I’m still around here today bothering to write this is the community – not really any of the specific games on the server…
So, what is this suggestion about? I want to suggest creating Micro-events: small, frequent, community-based activities, hosted on the official CubeCraft Games discord.
What sort of activities?
Each would last about a week, maybe less. Here are three ideas of the sort of thing I have in mind, but of course there are tons of other possibilities!
Bingo:
This would have no reward – purely for fun. It could be set up as a discord forum channel, where participants can choose to create a post with proof in the forum. The goals can be designed to encourage exploration of / engagement within the server.
Track a statistic:
Depending how difficult this would be to implement, either use a statistic which is already tracked, or introduce a new, temporary stat (e.g. most pieces of diamond armour equipped in SW)... the winner is the person highest on the leaderboard!
Geoguesser:
(inspired by @Nathie 's geoguesser) – find a specific location and post screenshot of yourself there!
Who would organise them?
Mods / trusted community members (like hosts for CCL)
Rewards?!?!
Discord role where relevant (e.g. 'Micro-event champion' for a week or less)
Please do share any feedback or additional ideas below! :)
