I wanted to bring up the topic of Middle Eastern servers again. Exactly three years ago, on 2023, this topic was heavily discussed, and Hazard gave us a detailed response regarding the limitations at the time.

For reference, the main points holding back ME servers back then were:

  1. CubeCraft’s provider (OVHcloud) did not have a data center anywhere near the Middle East.
  2. Connection issues were heavily tied to submarine cable routing.
  3. Looking into alternative providers would take at least 2-3 years and require transferring petabytes of data.
We understood these hurdles back then. However, it has now been exactly 3 years, and looking at OVHcloud's current infrastructure map, the landscape has completely changed. I believe it's time to revisit this with the new facts:

1. OVHcloud Officially Lists Dubai on their Roadmap

The most crucial update is that CubeCraft no longer needs to look for alternative providers or transfer petabytes of data. OVHcloud’s official global infrastructure map now explicitly lists Dubai under "New Localizations Coming up." Since OVH is heavily expanding their Edge Computing (Local Zones), a node in Dubai is officially on the way. Is the CubeCraft team tracking this, and are there plans to utilize this Dubai node for matchmaking once it drops?

2. The 3-Year Timeline Has Elapsed

In the 2023 response, it was stated that studying network shifts would take "at least 2-3 years." Now that we are in May 2026, the timeframe you asked for has fully elapsed.

3. Mumbai (India) is Now Fully Operational

In 2023, OVH’s Mumbai data center had just opened, which is likely why it wasn't considered. Today, it is fully mature. Due to direct submarine cables linking the GCC (UAE/KSA) to Mumbai, the ping from our region is roughly 30-50ms, compared to the 110-160ms+ to Singapore or Frankfurt. If Dubai is still a bit further out, utilizing the existing Mumbai datacenter would instantly cut the Middle Eastern latency in more than half.

The Middle Eastern community on CubeCraft is still massive. We aren't asking for the impossible anymore; we are just asking CubeCraft to utilize the new tools and upcoming locations (like Dubai!) that their current provider has introduced over the last three years.

We would really appreciate an updated response from the network team!

Thanks,

Honestly, a Middle East server won’t even function properly because the player population is too small. Even during peak hours like 8 PM in Asia, the lack of players forces the system to transfer us to Europe servers just to get a match started in certain game modes. If a huge region like Asia gets forced into Europe for some modes during its busiest times, a Middle East server will just be dead on arrival for most of the game. It’s just a useless burden for the devs.

Almost all Middle Eastern players already play in Europe. Only a very small number are directed to Asia by Bungeecord, but 99% of them play in Europe.
That's why your statement is considered incorrect.

Thank you for clarifying that 99% of Middle Eastern players are already on Europe servers. However, that actually supports my point. Since there is a significant difference in the player population between the Middle East and Europe, a separate ME matchmaking queue likely wouldn't have enough players to remain active. As a result, the system would just end up forcing ME players back into EU matches anyway to get matches started. Setting up a new region just to have it merge back into EU doesn't seem like a practical move for the devs.

Arabs are the overwhelming majority in Battle Arena and EggWars. When I say overwhelming majority, I mean 80% or more.

That 80% estimate seems to be based more on in-game chat activity, which can be very biased. The players who actively type in chat are only a small, vocal percentage of the lobby, while the vast majority of players remain silent. We can't judge the entire server's demographics just from chat impressions. Even if a certain group is vocal in specific modes, splitting the regions would still heavily impact the overall matchmaking health for everyone else

Well, I'm sure that whatever the percentage, it's bigger than the AS or NA community in CubeCraft.

Well, I'm sure that whatever the percentage, it's bigger than the AS or NA community in CubeCraft.
Just to clarify, the 'AS' region in CubeCraft stands for Asia/Pacific and the servers are physically located in Singapore. This means the region covers players across both Asia and Oceania, including Australia. Given the massive geographic and player scale of NA, EU, and Asia/Pacific, it’s highly unlikely that a single sub-region would surpass them. Regardless of which community is larger, keeping the queues unified on EU remains the most stable option to ensure healthy matchmaking for everyone.

well in every match I have play there is big chance to see at least 7 arab/middle Eastan I think it will be cool to have it but the europ servers will feel empty, my suggestion is let's wait more time to get more players to have more equal people in each server EU/NA/AS idk mybe I missed some points

If you're claiming that 7 Arab players per match or that 80% of the player base is from the Middle East, could you please provide the official source or statistics for those numbers? Without official data, it's just a personal impression, not a factual argument.

and how you think the official data being collected? BY Taking Evidence From Many Matching you just want to attack in soft way
Data changes completely depending on the time of day. Collecting screenshots durning specific hours is just a biased sample, not a real reflection of the server’s overall players base.

If u actually have a proper set of screenshots from various time slots to prove your point, then show them.

as you said date change of the time so let's ignore the date from the actual sever because it will keep changing too!

How can u claim to have a real argument if u are actively choosing to ignore the basic rules of data collection?
