So I’m disturbed by Cubecraft’s ‘shady punishment system’ for a long time. It’s not always clear who accepts or declines reports and why. Nor is there any information given regarding what punishment they actually get. I have come to distrust this system and additionally believe donators and certain players are advantaged over non-donators, which I don’t intent to discuss any further in this topic.

A possible solution I would like to see is a universal rule board including punishments so everyone knows exactly what to expect when certain violations occur. This instead of Cubecrafts current shady backdoor punishments where no one knows what punishments are actually given and to whom.

Surely Cubecraft wouldn’t mind having an open punishment system IF punishments are indeed justly and universal equally given to wards everyone, regarding rank or potential bonds of friendships with certain players (or members of staff), who violates certain rules.

Kind Regards

Okay so if you go to the official rules thread:
https://www.cubecraft.net/threads/official-rules.134453/
You can clearly see what kind of punishment a player gets for their first offense till their last offense.
There are some exceptions but these rarely occur. (For example a user being perm banned but getting an unban after 2 years because they matured and knew they were wrong)

Also if you're on the report site and you click on the name of the person you've reported, you can see a message from the staff member who went through your report.

I want to add something to it, if you want to look up someone’s punishment you can go to https://appeals.cubecraft.net and fill their name in. It’ll say which punishment they got. Do note that it doesn’t show warnings.

It does not show for how long. If it does, feel free to send me a clear image..

I think that's only for staff members. We don't really get to see until a user is banned or muted.
Which is unfortunate.. Sometimes I just can't see how long a friend is muted/banned.
What to do?

:Emerald: OfficiallyBerre: jump if you got muted
:Emerald: OfficiallyBerre: jump once if it's for 3 days
:Emerald: OfficiallyBerre: jump twice if it's for a month

Rank or no rank, everyone gets punished equally. I've gotten many ranks muted or banned (for hacking/teaming), and there's definitely not a scenario where a rank can use the fact that he/she paid as a valid excuse.
The punishment tracker is in the official rules thread. It was last (majorly) updated in October 2017. It may be that you've missed this, but the problem you have has already been fixed. Go see for yourself: https://www.cubecraft.net/threads/official-rules.134453/

"I've gotten many ranks muted or banned (for hacking/teaming)" how can you even possible be here if you have been punished for hacking. I get perm mutes for lesser crimes.

Indeed, I didn't see 'the rules' list yet. That been said I still highly doubt the fairness of how certain players are being punished. And believe me I have reason to.

Wait, what exactly are you asking here?
My point was: I have gotten many other people with ranks muted or banned in the past. They get treated the same way stone ranks do when it comes to reports.

Please do give your reasoning then.

Of course you're going to have doubts and assumptions of the rules if you clearly haven't read them. ''That been said'' you only have yourself to blame if you don't know the rules of what your doing. If you'd actually read the rules, you would find that there is no part that says ''If you are a donator you get a 'Get Outta Bans Free' Card.''

You can see how many mutes he already has got. Based on that you can see in the Official rules how many days he has been muted ;)

You don't know anything about what actually happend why I got those mutes. What I said wasn't justifiable (according to the rules of course), but why I said it was. I just 'lacked the evidence' because I didn't made reports @ that time.

For your information, I know the rules well enough now. And still about 50% of my reports is being approved, even when I cover members of staff with indisputable evidence of rule breaking.
For example, someone kept calling me idiot after I got the first tower position in towerdefence (I'm 5th mobsender btw meaning I played a lot of tower defence). And guess what, this is what I get back from staff after making a report and fighting the decline:

"Even though it is highly frowned upon on the server, we do not punish for it."

So, feel free calling everyone an idiot since apparently it's not a word for bullying or swearing. I have similar cases. Having rules is one thing, but how they are interpreted is another.

Soooooo if someone calls you an idiot you're expecting them to be framed as a bully? It's like getting muted for calling someone dumb, it's just that, dumb for muting someone over something that isn't very offensive even though it isn't 'nice'.

Two things wrong with this,
One: HE ISNT TALKING ABOUT YOUR MUTES
Two: Everyone can actually see what you weren't muted for, when, and who did it as well as evidence behind the mute as long as they know you username. So he could actually know about it if he was talking to you.

they can see why a person was muted, but not the context or what actually happend.

Example,
If I tell you to say 'kys' for extra points in chat and you do this (when youre a noob kid or something). They printscreen this and report. BAM, perm mute. *context matters*.

Not everyone takes printscreens of everything that happens, especially not when you don't think you need to to defend yourself.

Er... what does context matter if you broke the rule?
No matter what situation you're in, you can't break any rules. I really don't think you understand the rules too well.

Whether you are a stone member or an obsidian player, the punishments do not differ, nor does the likeliness of the punishment being undone before its initial expiry date. If you have got any evidence of situations where ranked players were given privileges, then please share as I am more than curious.
It’s not always clear who accepts or declines reports and why.
Myself, I tend to always mention my name when accepting or denying a report, but I am aware that others don't. I understand it can be frustrating to have your report denied without any reasoning nor a person to contact, so I will message higher staff who will look if anything can be done about that.
Nor is there any information given regarding what punishment they actually get.
As said above, active and expired punishments are shown on the appeals site. Besides that, all offenses and their corresponding punishments are listed at several places, such as here and here.

We are aware of this. It has been brought up in staff chats, and a new system for chat reports was put on the table. And by the way, we do actually deny reports when there's an obvious lack of context.

You don't need to message higer staff they already know this. It'sthe actual 'acting upon' that's missing, like many issues on cubecraft. Just like the clear bugs such as fixing the whitelist on Free Build that I reported nearly half a year ago which are well known bugs by now.

"acting upon"
Acting upon... what?
Also, the other issues you mentioned are pretty irrelevant to this topic.

That's not entirely true. I believe both (different) issues come from the same core-issue, cubecrafts bad attitude regarding fixing and/or doing stuff. Not that I dare to suggest staff has been lazy, but I do believe they need to get their focus right on issues that really matter.

Cubecrafts 'strength' I think is it's active staff members who indeed (usually, not all of them) respond between 24-48 hours. But when it comes to fixing or changing things it takes months IF anything changes at all. No matter if it's about bugs, rules or whatever. Possible because of the lack of qualified staff who can do this kind of things. But then again, isn't that why people donating? To keep the server running and to hire potential qualified members staff to actual fix things instead of volunteers who can only act upon rules that are already written. I'm not going to discuss this further here since this isn't going to bring solutions. Just my awnser to your question.
