Java Bedrock Improvements to Sentinel punishments (2026-2027)

We’re making some changes to Sentinel punishments in the future. I watched some videos of CubeCraft false bans. The first ban was 7 days. The second ban I believe it was 30 days. Third ban was I don’t remember how long the ban can last for. I am not sure how long is the third punishment. Maybe 60 or 90 days? Unfortunately, Sentinel cannot ban players permanently. Only by staff if they got banned by Sentinel several times.

I got something to tell you. Sentinel will place longer bans if you don’t appeal after the expiry or if your appeal is denied. Always appeal your punishment before the ban expires or otherwise it’ll place longer bans. You don’t want to do that as it can make things worse. To get a high chance of a successful appeal, make proper appeals. There’s no need to have an evidence of you getting false banned.

Current Punishment Track: 7 days -> 30 days -> 60 days -> 90 days -> permanent
New Punishment Track: 14 days -> 60 days -> 180 days -> permanent

Permanent ban is only issued by staff. Please note that if you’re on the second punishment track of the ban, you will be unable to reverse your punishment track. It’ll leave the punishment track the way it was intended, even if your appeal has been approved.

Violating the rules on an appeal can lead to extreme penalties. Can make things significantly worse. Your ban will be extended if more violations occur. This includes profanity, slurs, death threats, suicide encouragement, spamming, and underage I believe.

What is underage in CubeCraft? Underage means that you aren’t eligible for CubeCraft. Even if you are over 13 years old, and you’re admitting to be underage, it’s a violation of Terms of Service. You can either get your account suspended or terminated. It can be temporary until age 13 or permanent for termination.

Banning players for being under 13 would instantly destroy most of the player base on Bedrock.

makes sense as to what you are saying, however i think the punishment system is good the way it is, Lets take this for example... a player gets punished by a false positive, for example chunk bug triggered sentinel and banned the player for 7 days, most players just wait their punishment as most players dont know how to appeal, or they have no way to appeal, It would not be fair for that player who is waiting 7 days for their punishement to be expired, for it to then be moved to 30 days before the punishement ended. It would be both bad for the player and server and would have no benifit on stopping real cheaters. Why i say this is because that player might then never play cubecraft again - this would result in massive player count drops. Then the cheater situation - most cheaters create a new account and delete that account anyways as its much easier and faster, there would be no benifit for cubecraft to make this. :-)

I also forgot the blatant cheating ban issued by a staff member. The reason is staff witnessed use of prohibited modifications. What this means is that you were cheating with illegal modules on a cheat client such as flight and aura. Your appeal will most likely to be denied. This could potentially occur to blatant cheaters with Sentinel ping disablers.

New Punishment Track: 60 days -> 180 days -> permanent

The new punishment track should be changed as well. Please note that we’re keeping the bans, we’re not resetting them. Should we reset the punishment track and keep bans issued by staff? Maybe or maybe not?

But still, CubeCraft must be at least 13 years old or you will be punished for violating Terms of Service. Not just the Discord and the Forums. This can happen everywhere.

The sole purpose of trolling can result in a severe penalty. What is trolling? Trolling means that you purposely violate the rules too quickly. Please slow down or otherwise you will troll. This can result in a significant punishment extension from temporary to permanent.
