Hey guys, i play quite a lot of cubecraft (really gotten into survival games now :-D), and i'm always trying to find a good map to play. I will go into a lobby, and look for that map , and it's usually not there ; meaning i have to wait for it to show up. Sometimes maps are available when you choose them through the villager, but not all my friends have ranks, so they can't use the villagers.

Recently, this issue of not being able to find maps has gotten worse (in my opinion), in the new 'ish' skywars lobby, there is 8 signs (maps) for each game mode (solo kits, solo no kits, team kits, team no kits). Before there was quite a lot more, meaning you at least had a slightly higher chance to find the map you want. But now, it''s even less likely.

My idea (which can be implements to all games), is to have the amount of sign boards, for the amount of maps there are in that game mode. So you can have one of EVERY map, meaning no matter what, from the selection of maps there are, you can find the map you like. This would mean, if there was a map that everyone liked, it would always be there, because once one lobby of that map is full, once it's started, another one will always pop up in the same place! I'm not sure how easy this would be to implement (because it means there always has to be one of every map, but im hoping it can be done!

This may mean that some maps will literally never be played (because your favourite is always available) but thats an issue for another day.

Hopefully you guys understand my idea, and hopefully it's not toooooo hard to do!

The random factor can be cool so I don't really want every map to be on the board at all times. So I think a voting system where maybe 4 different maps are selected and voted on before the game starts would be cool :D The voting would be random chances though so 1 vote still has a chance of beating 4 though a small one

I like the idea :-D However for me i'd prefer to be able to choose the map before i play, otherwise if a person doesn't like that map that is voted for, they will just leave.

You see, like for example, i wanted to do a 2 player map with a friend, in this lobby (not checked the others), there is only 4 player maps!

I like the idea :-D However for me i'd prefer to be able to choose the map before i play, otherwise if a person doesn't like that map that is voted for, they will just leave.
That's one of the reasons I put random chance voting :D that way people will only leave once the game started and at that point they might as well play the map since they spent that much time waiting to begin with :P

This would completely remove the concept of having a rank for map selection. The reason there now are less signs, is so that the games should fill up faster, meaning that there would be more rotation of the maps, which is also what's happening.
