Hai... I have very strange phobias, and was wondering if any of you have any phobias that you'd like to share, or perhaps ways of overcoming them.

"What is a phobia?"
upload_2016-10-7_21-36-53.png

My phobias are:
1) Pufferfish (Cannot even think about them without cringing and becoming panicky)
2) Anything relating to puppets, dummies, that really difficult word used to define a puppet master (tranquiluist?), clockwork figures, etc.
3) Clowns (Finally, I have a phobia that people won't think I'm weird or crazy for having)

Feel free to share any phobias that you have, so that we can all be afraid of stupid things together <3

1. Clownphobia. Not circus clowns but those clowns that legit try to scare you to death. Those clowns you want to hit with an iron baseball bat you know?
2. Sharp objects. Whenever I'm close to something sharp I get these shivers. lel
3. Spiders. Most people hate spiders AND snakes but snakes at least look kewl.
Spiders are the disgusting things you want to get the hell out of your home.

1) While this might look childish, I am very picky on what I eat or touch. I decide what I eat and whatnot while I never ate it before. If it somehow does get in my mouth, I get sick. Again this looks very childish but is becoming a real problem in my life.

2) Darkness. Again this looks very childish, but I can't stand darkness. I imagine the things that could be hidden in it, trying to kill or kidnap me and get scared and start to run.

3) Touching insects. As said above, I am very picky on what I touch and whatnot. I disgust worms, ants, larvae, spiders, little bugs, mosquito, .... This started when we had some kind of movienight at the youth movement. There were multiple breaks while the movie was playing with games, surprises and food. One of the games was "Guess what's in the box". We had to put our hand in the box while we weren't able to look inside the box. There were multiple "objects" in the box. I grabbed one, poked it, pinched it and it started moving ;-; I didn't know it was a living organism so it scared the hell out of me. It apparently was a box full of larvae... Since then, I never touched any kind of insects.

4) While this isn't a real phobia, I get scared when I hear sounds in the night. I always think there are thieves or murderers... I'm pathetic, I know.

5) Impotency as in having no control of what is about to happen. This is not, for example, if I can't decide where I sit in the train or when it rains when I don't want to. I am scared of not being able what will happen with me. A long time ago, I saw a video about child sacrifices in history. They reconstructed how it was and made a video about it. In the video you could see a huge statue with fire inside of it. A child was put in the statue it's mouth and fell into the statue's body, burning alive. The children back then had no control about what would happen and they could do nothing against it.
Another example of this is with the Romans and their gladiator fights. The people who would fight were randomly picked and they had to fight. If they refused, the chosen person would be killed along with his friends and family. What a cruel world.
Another example would be the (best) fiction movie every. The Hunger Games! The tributes in that movie are also randomly picked and they can't do a thing about it. The chance of them dying is too big and is one of my greatest fears. I've had a lot of nightmares about situations like these. Getting killed and I can't do anything about it...

This is the most personal post I've ever written xD Nice concept though C:

Nah it's not childish.
I kinda got the same. I guess that's what happens when you watched to much scary stuff when you're young.
Then you're afraid of the dark after a few years.

1) Sounds in the night. Why? I always feel like thieves are in my house and am scared to life to even go to the toilet, which is right next to my room, usually hard to get back to sleep.

2) This is something I've thought of just recently, what if, I were to die. Just imagine. How would all of my internet friends know? No clue. If a school shooting were to happen or something, who and how would I have to contact? No clue. My parents wouldn't have any clue on how to contact them.

3) My right neighbour. Don't ask me why. Don't want to talk about that situation, no he's not "touched" me in wrong places or something, don't worry, just please don't ask.

Maybe a little (little) entomophobia, but only cockroaches tho. I eat bees and moskitos for breakfast (joking joking)

Uhh I have this... "futuro-phobia", I always get anxious about my future and what I need to do, be, and become... I don't think this counts but... :/ NO MOM I DON'T WANNA BE A DOCTOR, GEEEZ!

Maybe... Necrophobia? Maybe I get scared if my brother is dead cut in half inside the toilet, but buried bodies, zombies, and spooky scary skeletons all make me just laugh.

Yeah I'm not afraid of death but of losing people ;-;

I don't really know if I have a "full" phobia anymore. I used to be afraid of dark, dogs (waat stupid young me) heights, deep sea... But they became love for the sky at night, cute puppies, braveness and love for swimming.

Oh wow I'm so awkward...

I guess I am scared of scary movies. I have never watched any, but my dad loves them. I get creeped out when I see him watching one in the background or even see commercials.

Ive always been told by all my teachers that I have been really smart, even brilliant. I have done a couple IQ tests and my average score is usually 135-140(100 is a normal human, 140 is genius level) so it only seems fair that I am extremely terrified of being stupid...scares the living hell out of me....

In all seriousness, I'm a bit different from other posts in this thread. I'm not really scared of darkness, noises in the darkness, heights, scary movies, puppets or clowns... Although I am afraid of shouting, arguing and small rooms (elevators).

Oh, I forgot to mention, I am scared of any form of danger, to the point where if my dad (who loves to joke around) were to pretend to do something, I'd shout until he stops. For example, we went on a cable car in London a while ago, and he was jumping up and down in it. Though it barely moved, I shouted at him to stop... Man I'm so sensitive.. xD

These will be arranged based on what I fear the most starting at #1.
  1. Clowns. (Especially now with all of the clown sightings and crazy stuff going on.)
  2. Camping. (Crazy stuff happens when camping. Especially if you don't know what your doing.)
  3. Dolls. (Ever since I watched one of those Chucky movies, i'm now scared.)
  4. Basement. (For all of you that know what having a basement looks like. Going in one is like putting your life on a tightrope across lava.)
  5. Outside anytime alone past 9:00 pm. (Weird people (clowns) might come for you.)
