Awards for reporting hackers

NO. That would be way too unbalanced. There are hundreds of hackers every day and if you get a reward, that's like 5000 points per day. Plus, it should be hard to earn points.

Ohw please, search if someone had came up with this idea before. Many other people have suggested this too, but people would report other people for the points and not because they've broken the rules. Points need to be earned by playing games and not by reporting hackers.

there must be a way to encourage that record and report today as it came to the point that already spend reporting of many hackers out there.

you can reward with 10 points or something else, if you do not like to suggest an award

The reward of recording and reporting someone should be the satisfaction that you're helping the network greatly, as well as making the community more clean. :]

No, because then there would be players who constantly record and would make dozens of posts a day with "He hax0r plz ban can I haz coins now?" when someone does anything remotely suspicions, every time someone lands a few bowshots they'd get called out for aimbot, if you knock someone off a bridge the person would go on the forums and scream KB resist, and even if a small amount of the people they falsely accused get falsely banned, they still get the reward.

No this is a bad idea. There would be double the false reports and the reward is to get to fell good you helped out the server.

This shows how people don't even care about banning hackers for the server but just making the one they banned triggered and feeling satisfied.

Isn't having a more legit server rewarding enough? You want a trophy? You want free points? Jesus!

Yes but every once in a while they will, Also they would be spammed about false bans and that would make all of the staff quit.

Really, there is no need for a reward like @Ping Ether said, it has been suggested and were rejected every time. It shouldn't happen and you should just feel happy about reducing the amount of hackers. Plus, this would make everyone report no matter what just to get the points.

It's not like we "Don't need one" But it's just infamous to think you just made your server cleaner and that reward isn't satisfying.

I personally feel like giving players who report a reward isn't a terrible idea, I wouldn't really mind if people created reports just to get a reward or to help the server become clean of hackers. As long as they report them it helps us a lot and if a reward would motivate many players to properly report hackers that would be great.

The problem with this I believe is that it would be kind of difficult to reward everyone who reported a hacker and got them banned. Maybe it would be neat to sometimes have rank giveaways by randomly picking a player who made a proper report (if that's not against the EULA). This could motivate players to properly report hackers as they could get a rank for free and it's not like everyone gets a free rank and the server becomes more clean of hackers I guess.

NO! And I think it could also be against the EULA? I am not sure about that, but nobody will play anymore seriously, they will catch a hacker, leave the game and then report and earn easy points.

This has been suggested si many times, and never have I agreed with it. Imagine you volunteer to clean up your local park because it's filled with trash. Would you expect the park manager to pay you for doing something good? No, you wouldn't.

True, but if there's so much trash in the park and there's only one volunteer the park manager will probably try to do something to motivate more people to clean the park, by giving something to the people who want to clean the park (doing a giveaway idk) or just hiring people to clean it.

NO NOT POINTS, but how about experience because it is a nice thing and it isn't that unfair maybe 50-100 exp, points are just too much and should be earned properly but exp is something i don't mind having the only problem with this is that it would be difficult to award every player who reported especially now since the activity of the mods reporting have reduced as @iLoveYouu said
But If the mods were more active or a plugin existed then it would be a 10/10 for me !

with that point in mind there is a very good chance that this will be the new /report it got so abused and this most likely would be 2 but i do think it is a very helpful and unique idea
