The reason for this is because protection 5, as usefull as it was in 1.8 makes it impossible to kill someone in 1.9
There isn't any percievable difference between the sharp 2 and sharp 5 diamond swords as they are both used to break armor that late in the game, however the iron and leather armor's protection is fine as it is.
I suggest to make the diamond chestplate protection 3 and the rest of the diamomd armor protection 4.

I agree with you, it is pretty annoying to kill Diamond Armour people in 1.9 people because it takes a lot of time to kill the people. :(

+1 :)

I would love to see the armour's protection go down as it takes so long to kill people in op that having a bow is the only solution!
I suggest diamond armor prot 3 projectile prot 2

That way power 5 bows aren't gonna be too op against diamond armour, but fighting melee will be less time consuming and less difficult for an iron armor guy vs diamond armor guy

That's actually still a lot. Each piece would therefore provide 7 EPF against bows, unless I'm wrong and projectile prot prioritizes over regular prot. If it's 7 EPF total per piece, then that's 20 EPF (capped at 20) with just 3 pieces.

This is where strategy comes in to play.
You can do multiple things like:
- Bow them with power V (It does a decent amount of damage AND drains armor durability quite a bit)
-Get a punch bow and setup a 3-chance trap (Like you do in SW)
-Spleef them using tunnel bridges
-Just block them in obby and use TNT to degrade their armor

Hmm, +0.5 for me. It's not that hard to kill someone with diamond armor. 9/10 times I knock him off, or shoot him in to the void :p

Spamclicking with a diamond pickaxe (with 2/3 persons) can break his armor really fast btw.

I agree! While I'm out killing other players and taking their eggs, there's that person camping and getting the OP dia armor while I still have iron. It would be nice to reduce the protection on it.

No, I don't like this suggestion this the whole reason why it is called overpowered mode, I would just like to keep op how it is
