I honestly think that new players who place towers horribly (you guys know what I mean by this, right?), should receive progressive punishment:

1st - 3rd offense: kick
4th offense: 24 hour ban
5th offense: week ban
6th offense: month ban
Players would have to be warned at least 5 times prior to any punishment, and only 1 warning per minute would count towards the 5 (you can warn more than once per minute, but it won't count towards the 5) to keep things fair.

Now I guess you could say this is "harsh", but remember: they have received 15 warnings and 3 kicks before their ban, so honestly, people are generally smart enough not to get to the 4th offense.

So I understand this is a strategy game. Well, thing is, bad tower placement is not a bad- or any- strategy. It is a method of griefing (placing one or two towers off is okay, as this is how you claim spaces for 5x5 towers. Even Efcluke94 and marcoslater use this strategy). Yes, there are definitely griefers who act like they're noobs so they don't get banned. Even if this was a bad strategy rather than a griefing method, how would outlawing it be "unfun"? This will not make the game "unfun", but the complete opposite; it will make the game funner for the majority of people. If a team is okay with the "strategy", then they simply don't have to report.

Finally, if Tower Defense's biggest flaw is so easy to rectify, they why not do so? This doesn't even require any coding or plugin development.

TLDR: there's no reason why this shouldn't be done.

Postscript: votekick rarely works.

Definitely not. What is some player is new and just isn't sure what to do yet? That would be terrible to ban them if they don't even know they are placing a bad tower.

And as @LilNugget said some people don't know how to play yet.
But nice you express your opinion. :)

Hey guys, how about we ban everyone? That seems fair. That seems nice. That seems mature. Not like CCG will lose its entire playerbase...

Anyways, this won't happen. If someone is bad, then it's not their fault. They may be inexperienced and might have mastered a gamemode like some people have.

They've been warned multiple times. By this point, if they don't comply, then it's their own fault.
No.
Ask them to remove the tower.

You can always use /votekick (name)
They rarely comply.

Also votekick rarely works.
This is like saying someone should be banned for being bad at PvP.....
Not really. While someone who is bad at PvP may not be beneficial to their team, at least it's not detrimental.
