Hello everyone,

I've recently applied for staff, but when I saw one of the questions I realized I cannot be accepted due to the fact, my microphone does not work. I've tried using TeamSpeak then suddenly it just went into a huge echo! But when I tried Skype it worked perfectly! I want to know if anyone could know the problem to this mysterious case.

-=-NOTE-=-
Tomorrow is my birthday. Perhaps I can buy a microphone for my birthday.

Sincerely, Christopher.

You're probably echoing on teamspeak when someone speaks because you're not set to push to talk.
Go to Settings > Options > Capture > Push to talk
(make sure to use a key you're okay with, I'm using End)

It shouldn't echo after that. I am online if you would like to test it out.

Edit: Happy birthday in advance and good luck on your staff application! Feel free to inbox me any questions and I'll do my best in answering them. ^-^

Hm.. If you mean you're echoing the voice of the people you speak to, maybe it is your microphone capturing the voice through your speakers. Try to plug-in headphones and see if that removes the echo of the people who you are talking with.

If it doesn't help, then I have no idea and hopefully more people here can help you with your problem :)

From my 3 years of using teamspeak instead of discord, it's mostly because it's not push to talk so if you're not using a headset, it captures what people are currently saying creating echo. It will also capture background noise such as your fan, cars etc . Since your Skype doesn't have this issue, it's most likely the case.

Alternative you can try is distancing your microphone from your speaker / a charging device or other electronic altogether.
My microphone makes death threats once my charging phone comes near, very bad static and sometimes the statics cause a long static echo sound that is annoying .

If you're using a laptop with its build in microphone then that's another case.

Problem has been solved?
Then may I ask a lock? @HackersDontWin

I don't think it's solved til the original poster says it's working, there could be other issues that is causing the problem. Let's wait til he replies and not be too hasty in locking this. I think he would like to avoid needing to create another thread about the same issue if it haven't been resolved .

When you're on Teamspeak with someone, its good if they have earphones in, so that you don't echo through their speakers.
