I love the PvP with Fishing rod, but i can't hit somebody with the Fishing Rod.
My suggestion is can you fix that I can hit somebody with my Fishing Rod

They just disabled the fishingrod hitting. I think just for the fishing rod spammers.
But I think this isn't going to be added again. i also love the fishing rod strat, but now I'm used to PvP without that is doesn't matter anymore.

What's the point of PvPing with a Fishing Rod?

A Fishing Rod is primarily used to gain a knockback momentum, so that you can both achieve more knockback, and maintain a longer combo.

I like this suggestion. As a fellow pvper, I definitely support fishing rods being re-implemented. But with 1.9 mechanics, it seems rather pointless. With the cooldown, you lose all that momentum when your weapon re-charges.

Just so you all know, Fishing Rods were not disabled by the server. It is a mechanic in 1.9 which means you cannot hit entities, but instead you pull them towards you and take no initial knockback upon the hit.

But that doesn't even happen anymore, I think it's disabled due to it being really OP in say Skywars, because you can just pull someone off an island.

Ah yes, I just tested that now. That might be the reason why. But you still do not get the initial knockback of a fishing rod anyways because of 1.9.

Minecraft 1.9 removed the "damage" from fishing rods. Not cubecraft.
It'll be too hard to work around for just a small PvP tool.
Besides, most of the games are 1.9 where it won't even be useful

I agree it should be fixed in the 1.8 mode, it's an essential part of 1.8 PvP.

There might not be a way to fix it without a complicated plugin, 1.9 removed it and it would be hard to re-add it like it used to be.

So why Cubecraft didn't go to 1.8 and 1.9. When I play some 1.8 skywars and I am in a PvP duel, then is the knockback that i give him not so Perfect!
